The only thing that would remotely make this work is that we can pretty much say that a Human will not likely run any faster than about 8.92 m/s on most plays.
That's a 4.1 second 40 yard dash.

Absolute maximum is 10.44 m/s currently, that's Usain Bolt's World Record 100 m dash, and I don't forsee a football player having the chance to rip that off and also come into contact with another human.
