Final roster notable cuts thread

I didn't see a thread for this. I figured better to have one repository thread so here it is. Not really anyone I've seen yet that could help the Chiefs. The Browns cut Burleson but he's been hurt all preseason and likely done. I think it's already been mentioned elsewhere, but I'll include it here anyway, that the Eagles cut Henry Josey. Notable former Chiefs are Ricki Stanzi cut by the Jags and Tony Moaeki placed on (gasp) IR by the Bills.

My problem is that we don't have even an average starter at those positions and our depth is so bad that guys who should be developing on the practice squad, are instead making the team and expected to contribute at some point during the season.

I get it but that guy Ledaris Perkins cut by the Pack looked awfully good. Granted he was running against 2nd and 3rd string D guys but he looked very Jones'Drew esque

Glad to see the Square pick up

I don't remember watching him but I'll take your word for it, but I still think RB is the very last position Dorsey needs to be wasting mental energy on... we are deep and set there with 5 guys.

Square for me is, well, meh at best honestly... if he can help keep Poe fresh then ok, I guess. But I was really looking for something on the OL in particular and CB or S instead.

Totally agree. My guess is that by the time we arrived at 23 in the waiver order the guys (OL,CB,S) that were there weren't any better than who they cut.

Keep your eye on Perkins though even though Lacy is the starter. This will be a situation much like SD had in LT/Michael Turner back in the day or LT/Sproles.

Perkins is a Sproles with power and looks to have a very durable build.

The #Chiefs have signed Jerry Franklin, LB, Arkansas, to the practice squad and have released Kyle Williams, WR, Arizona State.

#Chiefs GM John Dorsey said they will continue to negotiate with Justin Houston. “It’s one step at a time,” he said.

I'm kind of shocked that Malcolm Bronson didn't even get a sniff on the practice squad. He was IR'd all last year, so he'd totally be eligible for it.

Assuming Mays gets the IR/return designation tomorrow I wonder if Bronson gets signed back to the 53. They don't necessarily have to bring up another ILB with Zombo playing inside now too. But yea I agree. Surprised he hasn't generated more interest
