Thermapens...

I've seen talk of these in a few cooking threads, and I'm a huge fan of them. They are simply incredible thermometers for cooks.

Anyhoo, Thermoworks is doing an open box sale if you're interested in one or need a backup.

$67 after tax and shipping for me. Been wanting one but still too much. I'll stick with my $25 Lavatools Javelin, it's accurate within 1 degree and only takes 3 seconds.

That is a great idea.

I LOVE mine!! Best purchase I ever made for grilling besides my Weber Genesis grill itself! Another awesome item are the Grill Grates! Highly recommend!

Tell me about these grates. I've had my eye on a set for a couple months now.

I bought a 2 channel Thermocouple meter a few years ago and it's one of the best food/kitchen purchases I've ever made.

Gonna buy a Thermapen at this price for the quick cooks.

Outstanding product! I bought 3 to cover 1/2 of my grill surface. I spray them down with Pam to "cure" them and so food won't stick. They heat up to around 150 degrees hotter than the dome temp so you can literrally cook a 1" steak in approximately 5 minutes for medium rare. They are easy to clean and I love the groves they have to rotate sausage accross the cooking surface. I have had them for about 8 months and can't say enough about the product. I discovered them on YouTube and decided to check them out for my self. Check it out...

Also, my setup is exactly the same as his. Same grill and same Grill Grate setup.
