2 great play calls

1. Smith's rushing td: still no clue what happened, but it was epic. I think everyone ran in circles - while Charles did the robot - until the defense fell down.

2. McCluster's 3rd and ALOT conversion on a swing pass(?): Superb execution. Bowe murders a couple people. McCluster finally does that 'i'm a cut rate darren sproles' thing. Huge.

Exactly. What is so hard about this? Two Texans were in position to make the play, but they couldn't see through the pile, and they both chased Jamaal. The fact that people were blocking doesn't mean that the play was executed correctly. When there is a blown assignment, people still block. It's not like they start smoking cigars.

Charles went the wrong way. It was well blocked. We got a little lucky.

They played Randy Covitz' questions asking JC about this play on 810 this morning. Covitz could not grasp how a read option play works. It was pretty funny.

Easiest way to tell that it was scripted. Alex Smith just ****ing stood there. If it was busted.....he would have looked around or freaked out a little that Charles wasn't there. He stood there like a statue waiting for the blocks to happen.

Charles went in front of Smith. He was supposed to go behind him. It's no big deal, as the defense couldn't tell what was going on other than Alex looked to handoff. Smith was left with only one option instead of two (keeping or handing off). There was no reason for him to panic, as the play was designed for a keep to be an option. He watched for his hole and went for it.

We got lucky, but it wasn't some terrible situation.
