Has anyone done a juice fast?

I have been battling migraines since I was in elementary school. They would come and go, but since high school I will usually get one every other day. On the pain level they are usually anywhere from a 7 to a 9. This past year I have been getting them every day. I have tried ever type of holistic type medicine (fever few etc.), I have tried everything over the counter you can get, and I have tired at least a handful of perscribed medications from my doctor. I asked him about a juice fast, because I watched an intriguing telelvision show regarding juicing, and I have read numerous articles. He told me that he would recommend giving it a try. He said the amount of processed foods I eat is most likely playing a major role in contributing to my inability to sleep at night and also my migraines.

I bought a $130 dollar juicer from Bed Bath and Beyond. I will be buying my goodies on thursday. I will start my 60 day juice cleanse on friday, because I don't work on saturday or sunday and I am sure I will be in the restroom quite a bit. Anyways, I am hoping this works for me, because these past two or three years have been rough. Family issues, personal issues, weight and health issues have made me feel like an old man. I am hoping to kind of rebuild my body and take care of it like I should have been doing.

All that just to see if anyone here has any good juice recipies? Or any advice on juicing?

I have already stocked up on aids water and anti-freeze and the aids tree in the backyard is already on fire.

Does the juice from the two burgers I just ate count?

Made my skin clear up made me feel a ton better and wish it wasn't so expensive or I'd do it more often. Find some recipes you like and good luck. My in-laws got a Vitamix for their wedding in the early 80s. That thing is still running strong. You spend 500 bucks, but it lasts forever and it's worth it if you improve your health and use it everyday.

Buck or whatever the **** his name is, is right.

But, the longest that I've done it, is a couple weeks. You shit way too much water after a few days... and that becomes painful. No one likes a sore ass.

So, I just adopted juicing into my daily life... just not by itself.

Only if it's something like Smirnoff's Pineapple Vodka, ya know for the vitamin content, of course.

I started with the "hollywood" 2 day. I've also done the lemon, molasses, cayanne thing with a salt flush to start. (stay close to a bathroom for a couple of hours) Everything I've read says more than 10 days is too long. I did crave healthier foods after "cleansing". I also have bad Migranes and was afraid of setting them off, but it actually broke the cycle for me.

I knew this girl that went on a man juice fast once. Does that count? It was high in protein and her knees started to ache by the end, but she did lose a good amount of weight.

Still she gained most of it back within 9 months.
