Bethesda Announces Fallout: 76



The next big game from Fallout developer Bethesda Game Studios is Fallout: 76, the company announced today, and although the studio hasn’t yet said what it is, we hear it’s an online game of some sort.

I honestly don't believe they'd make a Fallout game that didn't have single player. That's their core support base.

I said that about TES once. I suppose that was technically Zenimax, though.

SP with a "strong MP component" was what I heard earlier. If they skimp on it I may pass. Especially if its more of the settlement crap.

The three different people walking by that Power Armor in three different outfits suggest MP to me.

Having online factions with their own settlement networks fighting each other for resources to build and improve settlements would actually be kind of cool, IMO.

Keep the SP, though. That's the Fallout bread and butter.

I'm still fairly shocked how this basically dropped out of nowhere. If presales start this week, the actual launch date probably isn't far behind.

They officially announced FO4 less than 6 months before release. So, its not a new thing for Bethesda.

Sounds like peoples fears were correct. Fallout: 76 is basically a Rust clone.

Looking forward to Metro Exodus more now.

Summerset Isles maybe? Makes sense from the direction Skyrim's story was going with the Aldmeri.

Pretty sure Bethesda said that it will be Black Marsh for Elder Scrolls 6 but that may have changed since they announced a couple months after Skyrim released.

I thought the Black Marsh thing got debunked and had been misreported. Definitely doesn't look like Black March in the pic.

if its actually like that and its good. The people i game with are going to have a field day with this. We used to go on ****ing raids that lasted HOURS and hours. I think our longest major raid was something like 12 ****ing hours, i passed out for like 4 hours woke up and they were still going at it. I think one of our "raid" leaders said we burned through about 15K rounds of ammo fighting lol
