He didnt say that.
If he did day that, it's not what you think it means.
If it is what he meant, then who cares, it's not wrong.

“Not serious” doesn’t equal “joking”. You often try to recharacterize/mischaracterize things other people say.

If the Russians and Chinese have Hillary’s emails, we’re all better off if they’re public than if it continues to be their secret (with ongoing blackmail potential, not just against Hillary, but also against the people she corresponded with).

And Obama once joked that “after the election, tell Vlad I’ll have more flexibility” whether Trump or Obama were joking, they both were working somewhat to the limits of acceptable DC decorum.

Drug deal. Pelosi has been running one too. What do you think the
Press leaks are? The non -rule rules? It’s the DC way.

I’d love to see the result of all this being to punish “drug dealers” in DC from the Congress (staffers, committee members HASC/SASC is worst) Administrations folks, lobbyist, press, military-industrial complex, etc.

Looks to be headed partially that way as it gets to courts and if it gets to a Senate trial, given Trump’s likely defense.

Much of this is about limiting the drug deal power of this administration compared to the drug deal power of the House. Pick a swamp.
But we have been operating drug deals for over a century so who knows how we would function without them and just our written Constitution.

What's the opposite of not serious? Would you like me to list some synonyms?

Good lord, man.

Let's be sure:

Shields, did by not serious, you mean joking or not? If not, what did you mean by that?

I don't disagree with the second paragraph, let's just get them without a candidate for POTUS whose campaign was actively coordinating with Russians to try to get dirt on his opponent asking for them, eh?

No I think Obama was completely serious in his statement. And look what that weakness led to.

Sorry if I don't fall for your transparent efforts to direct the conversation onto your own shaded, semantic territory.

It was more of a serious rhetorical point than a joke. But it wasn't a serious call to action and certainly not to collusion.

Feel free to run with "unserious" as the opposite of serious. I'll even accept tongue in cheek in this case. But if I embrace your "joking" then we'll inevitably have to deal with Stumpy and probably you treating it like I'm calling it a standup routine.

And I'm sorry that you will ignore what Trump stated later, (which I posted above) which shows that he was quite serious, in order for you to stay with your "coalition." You still have that, BTW, even if you are occasionally critical of Trump. I presume he doesn't know about, or care about, you or your support.

I'm not ignoring anything, but your TDS is a little distracting.

Donger call it what you want but Trumps intent was to highlight his opponents carelessness with important government information. Have the press pick up the commentary about how foreign as you say hostile nations most likely have this information. It is more trolling then anything. I do not think he seriously thought Russia would give away their Intel secrets and actually produce them.

Those with TDS see this and somehow think Trump is the one at fault for pointing out the obvious that most likely China and Russia have those emails thanks to Clinton.

Did you read this?

"I'd like to have them released," Trump said. "No, it gives me no pause ... if Russia or China or any other country has those emails, I mean, to be honest with you, I'd love to see them."

Still think he wasn't being serious?

Who wouldn't love to see them? Only partisan anti-Trumpers would want Russia or China to maintain these secrets at the expense of our country.
