If the obvious value falls, I'm good with it. Say a guy like Jaxon Smith-Njigba falls, yeah go ahead. I'm high on Hyatt as well, I think he has some game-changing speed and is a really solid WR to boot.

Otherwise, I think there is a lot of value in round 2 types this year. Xavier Hutchinson, Rashee Rice, Marvin Mims, Rakeem Jarrett, A.T. Perry, etc. I wouldn't go chasing one down.

I think you have to at least address RT and D-Line early though. I guess I'm really more on seeing who falls through the cracks in the 3rd round and maybe even making a move there. The kid from Cincinnati intrigues me.
The gap in talent is normally quite big between the WRs taken at the beginning and end of the 2nd round though.

I really don't think so, honestly. Maybe there are a few examples of that but not from a general historical perspective. Here are the past 10 years of drafts. I'd argue the best spot is in the mid-40s to mid-50s but it's really more of a general crapshoot as to where. I've bolded some of the better receivers, not that there aren't some other solid players in there.

There are quite a lot of misses in there though. So it isn't a guarentee.

I am just looking at the Bengals this year. We aren't ever going to be able to pick a Chase but having 2 cheap WRs who are at a top level is such an advantage.

I think the whole Chase vs Sewell debate has proved that the WR was the better option. They can come in and contribute day one.

I just think you can find a way to get decent play from an OL from free agency and later in the draft but if you can have multiple cheap wide recievers then it can really raise your ceiling.

I think we have Toney now on a cheap deal who can be really good. Hopefully Skyy Moore comes good too and we pay Juju and we have three top WRs and the average accross the three won't be too high.

There are first round misses all over the place, too. There's no guarantees anywhere.

We’re also about due to finally get a hit at the position, based on the law of averages.

Jordan Addison would be a monster here but he ain't making it that far...Kiper gave us Zay Flowers in his mock who would be a good fit.

Sunday’s game solidified that the WRs on this roster need an influx in talent. Hardman and Juju will likely be gone. Toney can’t stay healthy. Skyy Moore hasn’t proven a damn thing, counting on him to take a significant leap would be a huge risk. MVS flashes at times, like last night, but I don’t trust him to do that week in and week out. KC needs a difference maker on the perimeter.

Yeah, I think WR has to be pretty high on the list. I'd look to hit at another JJSS type veteran and then draft another one.

With JuJus disappearing act I think a free agent WR & draft should be a priority

So who are the free agent WRs we're thinking about/targeting here?

Jakobi Meyers? Parris Campbell?

I'd give Darius Slayton what they were gonna give JJSS

Maybe put some feelers out to SF on Brandon Aiyuk? He’s in his last contract year in 2023 and they’re set to pay a combined $60 million in 2024 between Kittle, Debo, and McCaffrey.

Aiyuk would be badass in this offense, but you'd have to give up a pick and pay him and I'm not doing that for anything other than a pass rusher or a LT.

I'd look at the draft or FA.

Aiyuk would cost you a 1 or a 2 and some change then you're giving him.....Cortland Sutton +10%'s deal? I dont' think I'd do that.
