Let's talk about the Patriots

5-0 heading into a Sunday Night matchup with the Pats.

This should be a good one, men.

I've never been one of those fans who just picks his team to win every week regardless, and quite frankly those who have been like that have looked like idiots for years because we've never had the team that rewards that type of blind loyalty. In the biggest games we've often come up on the wrong end of it.

BUT: I don't know if I can or will pick against us again all year. Why should I? Even against the Rams, who are undeniably a top 2 team in the power rankings, why should I pick them? Our offense is just as good or better, and we have Mahomes, they don't.

I'm basically at the point where I'm gonna predict a win every week with a one-word reason why: Mahomes. That's it. **** injuries, home or road, bad calls or bad luck, the opponent's strengths and weaknesses. We have Mahomes, they don't.

I'd be comfortable going In there and having another shootout tbh as I think we've got the bigger punch.

We need to make two miserable teams have to come into Arrowhead and beat the Chiefs as the #1 seed. Bad. Get that bye and sleep in their own beds for 3 straight weeks. Let the past be damned, none of it matters now.

Look, curb your enthusiasm folks, we have to deal with the press, NFL, referees and the fact it is the Patriots. All of these post I listed are valid.
It's going to be a shootout in Foxboro.

The Chiefs should clandestinely stay in a different hotel than advertised to avoid spies and the fire drill nonsense. That or a KOA campground. **** the Pats.

This team has actually always done really well in game, planning and playing New England.
Weird to say that but the Chiefs always handle playing them pretty well.

Can't wait for him hanging out in the pocket for 6 seconds, unable to find anyone, then watch him gimp around trying to ad lib and throw it out of bounds, bitch as he walks to the sideline and laugh uproariously as Mahomes tongue hangs out while he squeezes his helmet on and it cuts to a shot of Andy Reid staring intently at his play sheet and NBC goes to commercial.

Here’s my baseball analogy for this one.

You’re on deck. You’re swinging a weighted bat.

You’re now up. You drop the weighted bat and pick up your actual bat. It feels light as air.

The good Denver and Jacksonville defenses were the weighted bats. We were still able to swing it.

Now, we get a shit New England defense. How exactly will they stop our offense?

If we lose, both teams score 40+.

I'm excited about this game because I think we have a good shot but I'm also not buying the "Patriots are washed up" narrative at all. They start off slow every year and get better as they progress as Belichick cleans everything up.

Washed up is overdone, however you can see that Brady is showing age, he showed some last year, he's showing a little more now.

Also their defense is bad, it was bad last year and it appears to be worse now.

I'd pretty well bet on him getting a 1-game suspension. I'd put the chances at 99%. That's a shame because getting interior pressure on Brady is far more important than outside pressure.
