Where do the Chiefs stand in the Division?

This hurts.

We're clearly behind LA now and probably even with Denver and Vegas.

Hopefully we make the playoffs next year. This blows.

You believe I haven't provided rebuttal when I have a few times and then just said I have, while providing plenty of alternative perspective that you've obviously ignored since you believe they don't even exist.

You have zero interest in other people's opinions because you can simply make it up for them and argue against these made up strawmen.

You then take it one step further by acting superior to these illogical and completely made up opinions that you're arguing against with the occasional whiny passive aggressive snark... and the irony is acting superior over the idiotic opinions that you make up for other people just makes you look like a ****ing clown.

Yeah, I'm the one with the brain cell deficiency while you're dumbing down an argument to "durhur, Bearcat lives in a fantasy land of happiness" and then feeling superior over it, as opposed to understanding my actual halfway intelligent argument and providing an intelligent response.

Calling that trolling is actually a compliment, because if it's not, that's about the most Dunning Kruger thing ever, which is funny since I got a rep comment suggesting that to be a name change for you.
You can't have it both ways. If I haven't been paying attention to your reasoned opinions. Then I haven't been attacking your reasoned opinions.

You're the one who has been going in on me. I've only been responding to the substance [lack thereof] in the way you've gone at me.

I've said many many times, if you have an alternative view, put it in words and stand behind it. . . 'what're you, a dumbass' isn't an alternative view.

I think a lot of people are imagining subtext to my plain text and trying to hold me accountable for that. Which, if that's the way you want to play it, I can't stop you.

Me: I've stated my opinions in this thread, yet you just make up my opinion for me and don't take my actual opinions into consideration.

You: I haven't paid attention to your reasoned opinions.

Also you: Please provide reasoned opinions.

You're referring to your snark in this thread as your reasoned opinions? Not some other opinions buried in a different mega-thread I haven't seen yet?

I think I summarized THOSE fairly and accurately. You're happy with the SB and now think any concerns by the fanbase about anything that subsequently develops is 'constant whining' that embarrasses the franchise. And think all criticism are 'reeruned' because you say so without countervailing fact or explanation.

Don't try to misconstrue history. If you have an alternative view summarize it and make your case.

It's in this thread.

"any concerns"/anything.. nope, hyperbole bullshit.
"All criticism"... nope, specifically addressed that and just more hyperbole bullshit.

Like I said though, there's zero point in over-explaining it. It's a pretty simple point that bad things happen, but it doesn't mean bad things will happen forever, and that a franchise QB making stupid money has its challenges that are totally worth it in the long run, even if today sucks.

You can either read the post below and catch the nuance without throwing everything into a black and white bucket, or not, I guess.

I'm not putting on rose colored glasses for the trade... of course it sucks and it's probably the last thing the Chiefs wanted to do this offseason.

I'll personally take the trade off of winning a SB and being in the conversation most years over winning 10 or 11 games and then hoping in one hand and shitting in the other to see which one fills up first.

I'd much rather see this kind of tough decision than deciding which OT to take in this year's draft.

Your whole hyperbole shtick of being viciously attacked is just so ****ing old because you're no more right today than you have been ever on the topic.... if the recent past isn't good enough, then stop watching football or watch another team.

The constant impending doom on this board for the unknowns of the future makes this fanbase look so ****ing stupid.... yeah, today sucks. Can we maybe not extrapolate every second of the day into the infinite future like it's already written in stone, for apparently the sake of wanting to constantly have something to bitch about?

I dunno, just a thought.

Distinction loses salience when you label everything hyperbolic bullshit.

There hasn't been a critical word I've said that you haven't jumped on. . . And you never explain your criticism beyond 'that's dumb.' And you never acknowledge when I actually agree that things aren't bad forever, taking pains to differentiate hope for good things, based solely on optimism and hope, versus confidence in trajectory based on metrics and evidence.

And then you proceed with your recommendation that critics stop watching altogether, and your assessment that criticism embarrasses the franchise, and then further escalate with veiled threats of name changes due to mod powers.

I don't think you have an accurate assessment of how your posts come across. I clearly see that many people don't read my posts correctly, and so I try to be honest and clear and unequivocal. But the more straightforward and honest I am, the more people read into it condescension and bad faith opinions I didn't even make [like the reeruned, decade-old at this point, argument that I think everything would be great if only Alex was QB, which is the EXACT opposite of my plain words, . . . but great for derision and snark].

You OTOH, just say your ambiguous and ominous posts are clear and apparent, and suggest people read and reread them until enlightenment occurs to them.

2. Chargers
3. Broncos
4. Raiders

Probably some homerism here, but the Chiefs have so thoroughly dominated this division I feel like the Chargers need to prove they can close the deal before I actually pick them. The biggest unknown is how the coaching situations play out for the Broncos and Raiders.

Chiefs still have the best Head Coach/QB combo in the division.

Not happening. Then they get old and cap hell they gave up a lot of draft picks so they will have to scour FA next few years and from the scrap heap because they got to pay the ones they traded for or big name signings.

How are any of they're defenses going slow us down? Bosa had 1.5 sacks in two games i don't think K Mack is going make as big of impact as they think I could be wrong but he is getting traded around a lot can't keep a home and had foot surgery. Denver gave up a lot to get Russell Wilson and I think he will start out hot but not finish very well and still new quarterback for a team to get use too. The Raiders Josh McClown I laugh so hard my stomach hurts that they hired him. I suppose we can have a shootout with Chargers but a lot is going waiver what we get in the draft if we revamp our D line and have fresh young brutes up front we can win the trenches. Win the trenches is what i think Vlunch is working on.

We have not had a losing record since Andy Reid got here and all of a sudden everyone is freaking the **** out. 5th most winning-est HC in the NFL history.

You're writing the future off history. Too much has changed to know anything at this point. But this season is more wide-open, with all AFC having legit shot. Certainly AFCW.

Any of them could have something blow up on them and destroy their shot. But to count on it because history is pollyannish.

I’d be willing to bet that their pick in the first next year was on the table and we opted to take a second rounder and the fourth this year instead.

I’m fine with the draft pick compensation. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see us move back into the second round from one of their picks in the first to stockpile another pick in the late third or early fourth. That’s a JUICY part of this draft.

On paper, yes, Chiefs are near the bottom.

But the Chiefs also have the best coach and best QB in the division. That’s a significant advantage to have and tilts the scales in their favor.

I still like the Chiefs chances as much as any other team in the division.

I'm liking the trade more and more because holy shit we can score 3 o 4 guys just from his trade that can be starters and make an impact.

Edge rusher two beefy D line a WR and work the defense on CB Safety get another swing tackle and man this is going work out in the long run if Chiefs fans can be patient in developing these guys. Like last year we started out slow and won the division. I think our offense is actually going take off and Hardman and CEH are going have to step it up and I think they both will. This offensive line is too good not to have success whoever runs the ball.

I'm stoked. Thank You Tyreek for all you have done for us except the tipped interceptions but you scored big money and we got a haul in draft picks. Both sides should be happy.

That does not instill confidence. Can't replace arguably the best weapon in football.
Chiefs were not in the position to pay Reek that kind of money. Veech got a haul for him and set up Mahomes for the 2nd act of his career.

Awesome trade for the Chiefs.
