Not sure this deserves it's own thread, but damn, there is a lot of outstanding content on Amazon. I've had it for years and never really gave it a shot. The HBO and Funny or Die catalogues alone make it worth the while. The originals are simply value added. I've been watching:

Starting in 2022, Amazon Prime is going to be the exclusive streaming home the NFL's Thursday Night Football. Amazon and the NFL entered an 11-year contract that was originally slated to start in 2023, but the two entities decided to start this season instead.

It's the first time the NFL has been locked behind a subscription service. Although Amazon has carried NFL games before, it was always supplementing NFL Network or Fox, rather than carrying them exclusively.

This will be a big departure for the NFL and its fans. 2022 will see 15 games airing exclusively to Amazon Prime customers.

Who are the announcers for Thursday Night Football?
Amazon scored a serious duo in its booth for Thursday Night Football. Legendary announcer and Sunday Night Football mainstay Al Michaels is on play-by-play, whereas college football expert Kirk Herbstreit is on color commentary. That duo in the booth is a force to be reckoned with.

Herbstreit will still be doing calls for ESPN's college football programming.

In order to watch Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime, viewers need an Amazon Prime account. From there, they can select the game when it's on.

Additionally, games in local markets will still air like normal. Which is to say, local fans need not miss their hometown teams because it's locked behind a subscription service.

This is the first time NFL games have been locked behind a streaming service, and Amazon spared no expense to become the first streamers to do it.

Throughout the life of the 11-year contract, Amazon is paying the NFL $100 billion.

Although the start date was moved up a year, the length of the contract didn't change.
