This is probably the wrong place but.... has anyone done the Big Brother/Little Sist
Given all that's going on in the ****ed up world I usually volunteer to help homeless. Now that I'm in my middle 30s and kidless I figured my time could be better spent helping someone less fortunate. I have free time and figured the kid would have a blast and hopefully I'd have a positive impact.

Also, if there's any truth to you being gay or gay curious, I think it's an extra bad idea to put yourself in a position where you might be alone with an underaged boy. Not because I think you're a danger, but because it makes you vulnerable to accusations.

I did a program a few years ago that was part of Big Brothers but I met with the kid during school hours for about an hour once or twice a week. I was working for the state and was given time off to do it. The director of the program acted like a lot of the participants went on and became "full time" Bigs for the students. I moved and never got involved again, but it seemed like a good way to see if it is for you.

This right here, too. It may be selfish, but I am the same way now. Also, I refuse to spend any time alone with female subordinates at work. All it takes is one of them deciding to ruin you because they are mad that they didn't get the promotion/raise/whatever.

The MeToo thing was sorely needed on some fronts, but it certainly has brought some complications with it. Just the accusation of misconduct is enough to ruin you now. Doesn't matter if it's true or not.

Why not volunteer at the local Boys or Girls Club or YMCA or some other after school program? It might do you well to see if you actually like hanging out with kids or not. If you do like it, you might find a future Big Brother connection where you are volunteering.
