What did you get for Christmas?

Here in the Runkc household, I got a Samsung soundbar+ subwoofer for my new TV I got during Black Friday.

Pretty great gift! Currently watching one of my favorite action movies (Skyfall) and couldn’t be happier.

What was your favorite gift?

Bidet? Now that's not your typical Christmas gift. Porcelain or a bolt on?

We have done the chinese/white elephant gift exchange previously but hadn't done it for a few years. We asked at Thanksgiving if we were doing it this year and were assured "no no we're not doing that". Got a group email less than a week before Christmas that said "oh by the way we're doing the gift exchange". Needless to say participation wasn't 100%, caused some family members to leave early and others to not play.

Let's see, floor mats for the new F 150, a copper chef pan, some clothes., and right now? A killer buzz, lol. I took 7 days off to go see my family but my mother in law had a heart attack Christmas Eve so we're staying here. Hence my buzz. Merry Christmas to you all

My gifts had a distinctly alcoholic vibe this year. Scotch glasses, a bottle of Aberlour, and two different people gave me insulated highball tumblers for drinking said Scotch.

I'm afraid most of what I got was a helluva credit card bill next month

But seriously, I got to spend Christmas with all of my family. 1 boy in the Marines, 1 boy in welding school. One of these days, we will not get to spend these times together. I also have 2 girls that were here as well. I'm starting to feel like an old man, who else would care about such things

My SO and I gave each other for Christmas some much needed outdoor cooking "Camping" gear. An electric 2 burner induction cooktop, and a convertible tabletop infrared portable grill. We also did some personal items the best being his and her's "Mahomes ll "jerseys.

We were looking to buy this or something like it.

but this company offered a 2 weekend trial offer for <$50 on this unit.

I was given a killer deal on the brand new, in sealed box, "Demo" unit they sent me to try. It was priced at $997 then they took $400 off, calling it a "demo" sale. The deal made it the same price as the bigger yet 40lb lighter value model lacking "important" features, thinner metal, and much less warranty. When I mentioned that I needed a NG hose and regulator, he included one. When I got my receipt it didn't say Demo just "VIP Pricing" and they had credited the $48 rental fee that wasn't supposed to apply. I don't know why, but I wasn't asking questions.

The SO cooked poor man's fillets and veggies on it this evening and loves it. Shes happy, I'm happy.

The True burner cooktop looks nice but have not used it yet. Concept is interesting as it's not hot unless somethings on the burner.

Yeah, same here, at least two of each.

I use 1/4 air ratchet for most jobs, very quick and easier on the hands. It is much faster than the 3/8. Getting arthritis in the right hand.

Have a Blue Point half inch impact that is great for stuff that is stuck.
