You can't go from being happy losing @24-9 to expecting a SB, knowing the defense is suspect.

How this makes sense to you is confusing.

Bring him back. He's a Chiefs legend and has been there through the thick and thin. Dj would make the middle of the field better but doesn't help the safety position we are currently getting our shit pushed in on.

They aren't going to make any significant moves. They brought Frank Zombo back and they're looking at signing Jeff Allen.

OK, you know yourself with a legitimate defense, just middle of the road, with the way this offense is capable of scoring, this team is SB bound.

Now with this said, we do not have one, nor do I see us getting there and the frustrations are pilling up with many fans.

Where old timers as you and I, patients is a virtue. But as Mecca and Htis has mentioned, we are not promised that we will ever see a SB later and striking while the iron is hot is rational thinking.

At 24-9, Mahomes looked MORTAL. At 24-9, this team didn't look like a Super Bowl team at all. It looked like the 10-6 team I expected. I didn't say I was happy, I said I was at peace with it.

Then the 2nd half happened and the realization came that 2nd half Mahomes is the real Mahomes and this team absolutely IS a Super Bowl contender with anything resembling a defense. Which of course, they don't have.

Expectations change, from game to game, even from half to half.

Absolutely right. We've still got 2 weeks to make a move on the trade market, and Veach has shown himself to be pretty ****ing aggressive on that front. He sees the same thing we do, it's why we almost had a deal for Earl Thomas worked out.

No,what I see is marginalizing a once in a lifetime QB over our first loss in his first season as a starter, while at the same time expecting a SB appearance six games into the season, KNOWING the defense is suspect.

You can't have it both ways.

You're not looking at the context.

With a win at NE last Sunday, the Chiefs have the inside track at HFA. The set of circumstances sets them up to win it all right now.

It's not just about Mahomes, it's about the fact that the stars may not align like this again for a long time, if ever.

I realize the defense is really bad, but almost every single defense is bad. Defense is a thing of the past. The Jags were supposed to be the amazing defense and have looked like shit the last 2 weeks. Defense barely matters. Look at the SB last year. There was no defense being played.

one loss, we might never ever get to the SB?

listen to yourselves.

over one loss.

If you don't think we or anyone else can beat the Patriots, then we aren't SB bound anyway...and all of this is just a waste of time.
