-- Is it childish to pick out the cashews in mixed nuts?

Is it childish to pick out (to consume) the cashews in mixed nuts - or say; the M&M's out of the trail-mix?

EDIT:
Allow me to clarify
I maybe worded that wrong - I meant ONLY eat the cashews, I apologize for any confusion. & we're talking "ideally' about your family's (or co-worker's) nut canister, not a personal one from which only you eat from.

Cashews are the best of the nuts. But even so, I have trouble caring what food preferences others have. If you want to waste them, more power to ya.

There is nothing wrong with picking out something disgusting like mushrooms if you're going eat the rest of it. You can always give them to someone else who likes fungass.

Also I have to pick out tomatoes in my salad so I don't get acid reflux that really sux.

allow me to clarify

I maybe worded that wrong - I meant ONLY eat the cashews, I apologize for any confusion. & we're talking "ideally' about your family's (or co-worker's) nut canister, not a personal one from which only you eat from.

In that case, I vote that it's kind of selfish to pick out the best nuts from a community mixed nut bowl and leave the peanut/brazilnut/walnut dregs for everyone else. It's not a capital offense though.

Well, I mean... if you're going into someone else's mixed nuts and eating all the cashews, I'd say it's more of a dick move than childish.

Personally I just avoid almonds. Never liked 'em. Cashew are the best though. Hypothetically you cherry picking the cashews from some office bowl at our shared work place would annoy the **** outta me.

I'd be like "Who's the ****ing asshole eating all the cashews?!"
