VARSITY
Tom Brady trying to play the "no respect" card. Seriously.

Just a joke of a post-game interview on the field. Brady claims he thinks people think they suck and can't win a game so "we'll see". Seems to me like the actions of a man who lacks confidence so is reaching for a false narrative.

Another reason to doubt the Patriots is the fact that the elements clearly favor Kansas City. Its going to be cold cold weather down there in Kansas this weekend which could pose a challenge for Bill Belichick and his squad.
I hope when the Chiefs win the AFC Champoinship people will realize that they're from Missouri.

Reminds me of Thurman Thomas. He used to whine about that all the time, even AFTER he won the MVP award.

You should draw a tornado of circles to represent your hopes, dreams and future both as a person and a fan swirling down the drain of your future.

Look, the Pats are a great team. They have earned the right to be in the AFCCG (again).

Anyone on that team or media can attempt to try to generate a diversion, but I assure you that coach Reid and his team will not take the Pats lightly.

Chiefs should have Bernard Pollard bang the drum during the game.

Agreed, Reid & Co. will not take the Pats lightly and know what the Pats are as a team.

For me, Brady's comments were more directed towards the nah sayers around the nation, both national and local. And there have been many.

A same part of me thinks, the Pats on some level have kind of been playing possum, playing to pace themselves and be healthy in the playoffs.

They tried this when they were more banged up in 2015, exchanging health for reduce play and lost to Miami in the last game of the season.

I may be wrong, but they might have paced themselves only to crank it up in the playoffs.

They won the games the needed to, but jeez - they lost 5 games on the road and lost to 5 teams that didn't make the playoffs.

Yes, and we looked bad in a few of those games, losing by more than 10 three times. We have been embarrassed a few times this year. So can understand folks thinking we have had an off year to some degree

But at the same time were still 11-5, the #2 seed and where one once in a generation play from the #1 seed. Also beat all the playoff teams we faced

Some of the local media just like to complain (which i assume is true in all cities) and some national like to do the same.

True we have been off, but there are some of the opinion we are more than just off.

Again, it is just opinions like mine and Brady's. They are what they are.

My point about blowing things off and/or holding back may be unfounded for this season, i do not know.

I do know for pretty much certainly that the Pats took a powder so to speak in Miami in 2015 in order to exchange health at the risk of not securing HFA had they beaten Miami. They just ran the ball with Steven Jackson with Gronk just running route and avoiding contact.

The theory was to err on the side of health as opposed to HFA as they would rather be healthy and go where they go as opposed to try to be at home with a more hurt team.

This year Brady appear to hurt his knee in the Tenn game and was bailing out of a lot of plays for a few games afterwards. Fortunately, he looks okay as well as most of the team.

Given what the team did in 2015 and Brady bailing, just made me pause for a bit. Not saying i am right mind you.

Somehow, Brady always seems to have "hurt his knee" whenever we talk about the Patriots having lost.

Andy Reid lost to the Pats in the super bowl
The Pats knocked us out a few years ago in the playoffs
Mahomes and company lost to the Pats earlier this year

Yeah, I'd say the Chiefs have a much bigger chip on their shoulder. Last I checked, the media is pretty gunshy about picking a winner. The Pats are getting plenty of respect.

Frankly more respect than they should considering this is on the road.
