Hendrix said Kath was better.
The Group 'Chicago' otherwise known as "Chicago Transit Authority" in their early days headlined for Hendrix for awhile. Jimi said Terry was better than he was. Here is the Tanglewood concert from 1970 specifically the tune 25 or 6 to 4 where Kath absolutely is shredding it out of this world. I know many of you know this story already but to see what Hendrix was talking about and being able to catch this amazing solo on video at the time was very fortunate. Enjoy !!

Prince was an amazing guitarist no doubt but IMHO all those we have mentioned in this thread as great as they are have a newer contender on the block.

Totally agree. If you get a chance go to Netflix and watch the documentary on Chicago. Right before Kath accidentally offed himself he was very frustrated with the band and wanted to get his own band going without horns. He always saw himself as a "rocker" and was tired of the horns. Nothing personal against the guys he just wanted to go harder rock without horns. Great documentary !!

How fortunate were you !! Cool !! If you haven't seen the documentary of Chicago on Netflix it is well worth the watch. Some of the guys in the band talk about what Hendrix said of Kath.

Sure enough! I know a lot of folks on here think i have a tainted taste in music - but I listen to and know a little about a lot yet a lot about a little too. I'll def. check this guy out - thanks for sharing.
