Lying Trump

One of the most pernicious parts of trump's presidency, is how much he and SHS lie to the american people.

Our leaders are lying to us every day.

I realize, that all politicians spin, tell their side, obfuscate, and sometimes outright lie. For example, when President Obama said 'if you like your health plan you can keep your doctor' that was a far too ambitious promise, based on the grandfather clause of Obamacare, that turned out not to be true for many Americans.

But trump's lying isn't that - he just lies all the time, he's completely unmoored from the truth.

Some examples from the last few days:
- He lied about attendance at his rally. His rally had 6500 attendees, and Beto's had 10-15k, he lied and said he had 35k and Beto had a few hundred
- In his speech he lied and said he's built a lot of the wall
- He lied again about the human trafficking at the southern border, going once more to the completely made up bit about traffickers driving gagged women through the desert
- He lied and said just 2% of people show up for immigration court (even anti-immigration groups say it's well over 50%, and for asylum seekers it's >90%)
- He lied and said that democrats want open borders
- He lied and said Northam supports "a newborn baby [coming] out into the world, and wrap the baby, make the baby comfortable, & then talk to the mother & talk to the father and then execute the baby. Execute the baby!"

I see his lies every day on here, parroted by the trumpers, either because they want to believe them, they find them convenient to believe, they prefer to spread the lie because they think that's good, or they're too stupid to know the difference.

The R mayor of El Paso said Trump made up all sorts of shit about crime there. Stats proved Trump was lying. Trump proclaimed that the stats were wrong.

riggghhhhtttttt....

Organizers claim there were 7,000 in attendance, but estimates from photos and videos don’t seem to back that up.

President Trump mocked O’Rourke’s attempt to counter his rally. Trump estimated 200-300 people were at the counter-rally.

The President said 35,000 attended his event.

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale took to Twitter to break it down, saying Trump had 8,000 inside, and “tens of thousands outside.”

My favorite here is the sign that says "Trump go home to Russia" at a rally in Texas where everyone is waving Mexican flags...

Fact check: Trump says 10,000 at El Paso County Coliseum rally; Fire Department says not true

The El Paso County Coliseum holds about 6,500 people, but President Donald Trump told the crowd that his campaign got special permission from the El Paso Fire Department to let 10,000 inside.

An El Paso Fire Department spokesman on Monday said the president's claim was incorrect.

Enrique D Aguilar, fire public information officer, said no special permission was given by the Fire Department, and the Coliseum had about 6,500 people in it during the president's rally — at capacity, but well within its standard allowance.

Aguilar said "it might be 10,000 with the people outside" total, but the Fire Department did not track the number of people outside. The Coliseum was full at about 4 p.m., and thousands watched the president's speech on big screens outside

Lied about the crowd size, lied about getting permission to exceed fire code capacity

Did you buffoons even see the crowd outside Trump's rally?

It was WAY more than that. And they crammed an extra 2,000 inside. Trump had 8,500 people inside.

I wonder how many Trumpsters ascribe some sense of credibility to Donald Trump because for years they tuned into a reality show every week.

Personally I never saw a single show.

Tell me, did you feel like you knew him, like he was a friend you invited into your home every week.

Did you develop a sort of kinship with him?

Were you awed by his very, very big brain at work?

Could you sense his confidence and authority? Did you revel in his business acumen?
