Dude, you're either an idiot or a liar. Probably both. You have to have an ID for every single one of those things....

Maybe you can speak to the food stamps one, but you don't need one for a prescription (not really sure why, but you don't), buying a pet, don't generally need one for alchohol unless you're in your 20s, and you don't actually need one for boarding an airplane.

Only every single time do I need to show my ID when picking up a prescription. Every time. The pharmacist knows me; asks me how's work, then-"Hey Mr. RN47 can I see your ID please?"

You have a special privilege when flying these days? You don't have TSA check some sort of government issued identification card with your photograph? Or are you cherry picking because, well, technically they check your ID to go to the gate...the representative at the gate only scans your seating pass. Right? Ho-ho! Touche'! So very cunning.

You not only need an ID to buy prescription drugs but non prescription cold and flu drugs that contain pseudoephedrine!

I haven't needed a prescription too often, but I've never been asked for an ID. I did need to buy Sudafed once and they did ID me for that (Thanks, Livesteam).

I left a bag with my wallet in it at my hotel once when travelling and still boarded the plane without ID. They ask you a bunch of questions, and its a bit of hassle, but there's no law requiring an ID to get on a flight.

I don't know where you flew out of but every time I've flown you had to have a government issued proof of identification. Dad's airstrip on the farm with his single-engine Cessna doesn't count.
