Fortunately for White it's not last year, I guess? He sure wasn't awful the other day . . .

Will be interesting who they go after in off season. I wonder if it will be Rodgers?

I would love it if I'm wrong. Rather hand the Bills a loss but I'm worried he's going to choke.

Tom Brady never had anything other than maybe slightly above average 'tools' in any category, but he had all of the intangibles and the mental processing speed, and that is why he won eleventy billion championships.

Mahomes has all of the 'tools' in spades, but the difference between him and a Zach Wilson or a Josh Rosen is all of the intangibles, the processing speed/retention, and the mentality of a winner.

Those things show up real quick.

Best thing the Jets could do is pawn him off to a desperate team that might still be in love with the 'tools' as soon as humanly possible, because this kid is not 'IT'.

Roll with White or get a Minshew type and try to win with a best 53 type-team.

Rosen was drafted by a Cardinals organization that hadn't done much and then was traded the next year after a coaching/GM change.

Zach Wilson came to a team that was drafting 2nd overall for a reason as they hadn't done much for a decade and certainly didn't help their previous 3rd overall QB much who was drafted a few years before.

Mahomes on the other hand came to an organization that had been to the playoffs consecutive years, has a hall of fame coach, and he got to sit behind a very decent seasoned vet for a year. The Chiefs traded up in the draft to get him as they were a good team. Many Chiefs fans tend to ignore this and just think Mahomes was great the day he was drafted. Not to knock him it's just that he came to a perfect situation and to his credit he rocked it. Would he have done the same being drafted by the Cardinals or Jets in their situations?

Oh, he's going to shit the bed vs. BUF, most likely. Of course, if he doesn't, well, that might just be all she wrote for Wilson.

I was just stating the obvious, which is that Zach Wilson looked like Russell Wilson the last time he started, while White looked like Geno Smith.

But it was one game, so who knows?

No of course he wouldn't have broken records from day one, no. But I promise you he would have done better than those guys because of WHO HE IS.

Agree on this.

You could put Mahomes in even an Adam Gase offense where WRs don't break open and he would see that then just buy time until someone did.

I can’t remember a team in one voice saying FU to their own QB like this before. (Or, former QB I guess.)

Cryin’ Leaf never had his teammates wearing t-shirts supporting his replacement

For real. I was thinking about this the other day and I kept coming back around to to this “boy I sure bet you they’re glad they didn’t trade him now!” And I that’s gonna weigh on them heavily when they have to make a decision on him this year.

Steve Keim has been the Cards’ GM since 2013.

Dude should have been fired after the DUI and the Rosen pick.

I just flipped over to the game. Holy shit the Jets have dudes running wide all over the place.

I've only watched a couple minutes of offense, but how the hell did Zach Wilson suck?
