Sad News regarding Simms and Lefkoe

The podcast is no more as Chris Simms is leaving bleacher report and he is finishing up with 2 shows this week..he announced that on their new pod that just went up tonight.

Lefkoe is going to continue on in some way without him.

Kinda sad far and away the best show about football going today is ending.

Anything that gets new blood in the studios is good.

He's overtaken Florio and King.

As long as it doesn't curb Simms. You knew it wouldn't be long before he got a bigger gig. He's THAT good. The problem is that he got that good by being candid, which isn't something the gravy train networks want to deal with.

I'm hoping he replaces all of the MNF crew and they give him a legit play by play guy.

However, I imagine he ends up on a network where he isn't allowed to curse, call out players and coaches, or talk about daddy cigars.

Come to that, I'd never miss a MNF game if Simms and Lefkoe was the announcing team.

I'll echo the sentiment. I just started watching them this season and they are really entertaining and informative. I've learned a ton from listening to Simms break down film and Lefkoe knows his shit too. I hope whatever Lefkoe does going forward works as well, he seems like a cool dude and is easy to listen to.

Just got through the last one. I am really going to miss this pairing. In addition to the excellent preparation for each game commentary and Simms tape sessions, even their off the cuff mailbag answers are always top notch. Both have veritable vaults of game breakdowns stuffed in their heads with incredible recall.
