Sandbox Simulations is back! Welcome to the magical year of 2019!

Okay, we had some issues to work out, and it took a while. But we think we've got it ready to roll with a commercial launch. We're not quite ready yet, but we're close. We'll open for business in the next month or so.

As promised, you get a free membership (well, read the details below) if you were one of our beta testers. I went through the various Sandbox threads, and these are the people who had more than 25 posts, so I'm presuming that you all were active players. If you were an active player and you don't see your name on this list, pm me and we can confirm. I recognize that you may have played without posting in the threads.

We'll be launching commercially soon, so we've added a pay portal to the site and have done some other things to beef up the admin. But the game itself hasn't really changed other than a few fixes.

So if you're a beta tester, we have one last request for you. We're finalizing the pricing, but think it'll run about $18 per year. You're in for free after that for the life of the business with a special founders membership*, but we'll ask you to test the payment system as one last experiment, so we'll set the price at $1 for a short period of time so you can enroll**. If you invest $1, you'll get a lifetime membership valued at $600.***

* Nontransferable
** Scholarships available if the $1 fee is not viable for you
***Assumes present value of an $18 annual membership for 100 years at a 3 percent discount time value.

This is wonderful news. I've been stockpiling draft picks in anticipation of this announcement.

Of course. But I suspect that other teams will use variations on the name. I figure that names like the Green Ermines, the Super Ermines, the Turbo Ermines, and others will be common.

Hmm. When we go commercial, maybe we should auction off the initial draft order to the highest bidders. Mahomes would make our company a lot of money.

Apparently someone was going by "7" at the time. I wonder how many previous user names they'd had.

I haven’t looked for a while, but I think a lot of my original team has to be out of the NFL now. Learned a lot from assembling a pretty bad squad.

Just checking. I don't recall a 7. I know I participated in the thread but can't remember how much. Pretty sure I was still Guru at the time though.
