Steelers receiver Antonio Brown did not play in the season-ending game against the Cincinnati Bengals because he elected to sit out practice last week after an unspecified heated dispute with a teammate, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has learned.

Several sources said the Steelers’ decision to not play Brown against the Bengals had nothing to do with any type of knee injury.

The disagreement occurred Wednesday morning during a routine walk-through practice that precedes their regular afternoon practice on the South Side. Brown became disgusted and threw a football in anger at one of his teammates, several sources said.

After that, Brown did not practice the rest of the week. According to a source, it was Brown’s decision not to practice with his teammates.

He did not attend Saturday’s walk-through practice and skipped the Saturday night meeting at the team hotel — the latest in missed meetings by the All-Pro receiver. Brown was never on the field for the start of the game against the Bengals and left Heinz Field at halftime, according to multiple sources.

According to several sources, Brown showed up at Heinz Field expecting to play against the Bengals. That surprised several players, including one who called the situation “embarrassing” and “the worst I’ve seen.” That player said the entire situation and the way it was handled affected his desire to play in the game.

If Brown wasn't already 30, I'd be allover the idea of trading for him. But his salary, the demand in the trade for a QB that has maybe 1-2 years of peak left? Nah.

Brown is a ****ing loser, I’m looking forward to the Steelers trading him to some shit organization where he fades into obscurity.

Not to say Ben isn’t a complete clown too, because he is. He’s also a rapist.. That whole team is shitheads for the most part.

I think getting rid of “tha killa B’s” will end up benefitting the Steelers in the long run. So, personally, I’m hoping to see the trade request get denied and for this situation to become even more of a distraction.

Pretty hilarious thread on several levels.

1. AB would hate it in KC because Mahomes has so many weapons he wouldn't get the targets he wants so would complain wether we were winning or not.

2. People think Ben is as easily replaced as AB? HoF QB's are much rarer than diva WR who constantly throw fits.

3.Bell is not a fit here either financially nor does that cancer belong on the team along with AB. There is literally no drama with the personal on this team as far as chemistry goes. Dont **** with it.
