Nope.
Leave his contract alone. He's got an out year after this one, they can cut him with minimal impact if he doesn't play up to par again this season. Restructuring his contract just gives them less flexibility with him overall and at this point, he's expendable. |

Absolutely not. "Restructure" just pushes more of his huge cap hit down the road. The only "restructure" that makes sense is him taking a paycut, which I doubt happens. Bite the bullet and get through 2021 and then his ass is grass after the season.

They can release him but without an injury settlement, they're on the hook for a minimum salary. It's basically a little over $1M per player.

The OL no longer has an alpha veteran leader and there’s no way they are asking a rookie to be it.
Trent Williams type of signing incoming. |

Exactly. Soooooo glad they got out in front of the issue rather than play the "wait and see" card.

And he would be an amazing signing. He’s 33 this year but keep in mind Andrew Whitworth was playing damn good football at 38.

So you're going early and often in the draft for O line for certain? Its a deep position this year.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fisher isn't back on a cheaper deal when healthy.
