Are you worried about Patrick Mahomes?

Want to get a general consensus from the collective brain trust of www.chiefsplanet.com . I've heard some rumblings in different places that people are concerned with the play of Mahomes.

Are you concerned with his play?

Poll.

What qb would you rather have right now? Russell Wilson continues to be wildly inconsistent in games his team doesn't let him manage. Josh allen is also a game manager. Brady and brees can't do what they used to, and Rodgers looks off too. DeShaun is wildly inconsistent and is largely a running jump ball guy. I don't think lamar can keep at this pace. Matt Ryan and Philip rivers have been outright disasters this year.

This league has not been very good for qbs.

Mahomes feels limited this year. But even at his worst he's still one of the best in the league.

For whatever reason this year has been the year of the running game. In a year where we for some reason decided not to have one.

Lets be real and unbiased here. The refs weren't completely against him. They missed a blatant TD which cost them 4 points. They blew a probable fumble return for a TD dead for no reason.

This wasn't Mahomes game. And thats fine. It means this team is evolving and has shown it can win a big game with a blow avg game from their Quartback. When the offense does start running on all cylinders we are going to be scary.

Pat hurt his hand in the first quarter (or whenever it was exactly in the first half). That made it difficult for him to throw downfield. He'll be fine.

If not, we have Matt "Moonlight" Moore.

What does this have ANYTHING to do with whether or not he sucked tonight? He did great motivating the team and making some runs but overall he had tunnel vision, missed many open receivers and with his hand being what it was, he was way off on so many throws.

He is allowed to have a bad game just like every QB.

He has been subpar the last 3 weeks with today being the lowest point.

Yes, all victories but Like Chief Northam accurately posted, shockingly our defense has carried the day.

We used to pray that Alex would throw for 280 yards and score 23 points consistently. Mahomes doesn't have to throw for 800 yards and 8 tds anymore.....

I’m seeing guys comment I don’t get what has happened to him since the Tennessee game. Well, he played in extreme altitude in Mexico City and like someone else mentioned, played a defense which made Rodgers look like a 3rd string, 50+ mph winds against Oakland and we also blew them out, played in Foxboro against the best defense in the league and had the most passing yards out of anybody they have played, he is the first U-25 to win there in 29 games, and had them beat if it wasn’t for a stupid mistake by our tight end. On top of all that, defenses are double teaming our big plays, we have zero run game and our offensive line just looks soft right now. I mean, this isn’t that hard to figure out if you just watch the games. I consider myself a novice when it comes to knowing the Chiefs but come on.

After watching the overrated shitshow that was Russell Wilson last night, I'm glad Pat is my QB. We quickly forget that he had 250 passing yards in the first half alone. Against that BB defense. Nobody had ever done that this season. He was carving those ****ers up and we were on our way of blowing them out. Then the turnovers stalled us from extending the lead.
Pat has been very accurate with his throws. The problem is that the offense is lacking some fluidity, it's not consistent and scoring at will like we did last year. Part of it is running back play. Part of it is poor playcalling on Andy's part.
I have not seen enough of Pat that gives me reason to worry. Him getting injured as often as he's been this season is my only concern.

I think with our 32nd overall draft pick in first round of 2020 draft we should take an O-lineman.

I am not concerned or worried about Mahomes. But I am worried about offensive play calling. People have said our running backs are bad, and the lack of ground attack is putting too much pressure on Mahomes.

I agree that the lack of a rushing attack affects Mahomes adversely, but I don't agree with saying our running backs suck, because Reid/EB never try to establish the run, and therefore the running backs can never get into a rhythm. Most running backs need to be fed the ball early and often to find their rhythm, and the same goes for the offensive line.

And I am concerned about every wide receiver or tight end not named Hill, Hardman or Kelce. Watkins and Robinson have been trash since the first couple of games to start the season. They are struggling to get separation, and because the offensive line is underperforming Mahomes doesn't have time to wait for them to get open, and he doesn't have enough time to throw them open.

The offensive play calling has to be better.

The offensive line has to be better.

Watkins and Robinson need to perform like legit #2 & #3 receivers.

Reid/EB need to understand that establishing the run is a vital part of an effective offense.

He kind of had to regress.... repeating last year, statistically, was improbable (if not impossible). But he’s doing a pretty damn good job, despite ALL the injuries..... hope his hand is ok.

Mahomes on his hand:

“It doesn’t feel great right now,” Mahomes acknowledged, and it’s important to note he shrugged off the impact of the ankle sprain earlier this year. “It’s something that you play with. In this sport, you’re going to get hurt. For me, it’s about going out there and competing. I rely on my teammates to help me out whenever I’m not feeling maybe 100 percent.”

But hey, he only threw for more yards than anyone else against arguably the best defense in football. But we should all be very, very worried.

Watching the Ravens Bills game today made me realize how fragile Mahomes is

But not too concerned. . I think the entire offense is just off. .

Him and Reeek never seem to be on the same page anymore. . .

Watkins doesnt seem to make an effort unless its a perfect pass. .

Kelce and Mahomes seem to be the only 2 on the same page

He'll offer no excuse for winning those games.
