PizzaGate Reality Check

What is Pizzagate?

Watch this video to understand (before it gets stripped from YouTube like the previous video that was here):

we really aren't that far off in our opinions. I acknowledge that memory just isn't reliable in terms of remembering details and the chronology of things.

If memories can be created whole cloth by a mental health professional and then implanted in a patients head, convincing the patient that they had experienced something that had not happened; wouldn't that mean that MK Ultra (goofy name, I know) style mind control is also possible?

if memories can be implanted, I'd like to visit a therapist that could implant memories that are happy. then, I would be happy because all my memories would indicate that I had been happy throughout my entire life. it would be be all I would ever know, happiness, contentment, success. is that plausible NewChief?
A lot of therapy IS that exact process of trying to get people to find the happiness within themselves. Of course, implanting false memories of happiness is unethical, but I would say that the process of visualization (which is commonly used in meditation techniques) is that very thing. It's interesting, because the issue of Repressed Memory Recovery and such is pretty politically (and legally) loaded. The group you cite (The Leadership Council) is an "expert" group that people (who have been sued successfully repeatedly) rely on as their "experts" and advocates.

Anyway, I've gone far enough down this time sink wormhole for the day. I'll likely pop back in at some point later, but I've got a full schedule.

Did you go to instagram.com/pizzaslime? You can view the whole thing. It's a meme generator brand like hypebeast or any of 1,000 other attempts to monetize the internet. I'm afraid the issue here is that you're an outsider viewing pop culture and not really understanding it and making assumptions based on preconceived notions. If you don't get why some chick who is the current crazy viral meme would be doing a photoshoot with a viral meme monetization site that, yes, has some scandalous material... I'm not sure what to tell you.

It's sleazy and off color, yes. The internet is sleazy and off color. The most sleazy and off color site on the internet (shhhh) played a significant role in the rise of the alt-right and Donald Trump. That's not indicative of a child pornography ring, though.

could you be more specific? what is the cause of my insanity? insanity isn't a diagnosis listed in the DSM

It's the continued lack of use of Occam's Razor...

occams razor is what you use to determine what is and isn't likely. insanity is the inability to determine right from wrong. walk me through it.

or

let me ask you this. which is more likely; am I concerned with pizzagate because I am mentally ill or insane or am I concerned with pizzagate because it is incredibly weird and keeps coming up?

I don't think you are insane or ill or whatever. For some reason you are just inclined to run with this story. I'm just explaining why most give you the reaction that they do.

The problem I have is that the Pizzagate thing builds conjecture upon conjecture upon conjecture. Each new branch is another reducing multiple of an already improbably situation.

I guess I misunderstood what Fishpicker was saying. I took it to mean "why do you think my opinion on this is nuts?"

It says that Obama spent way too much money on food. It would have been nice to have him explain why the hell so much was wasted on food.
