Nah, I thought it was really meh as well.. And I also love Family Guy.
For a movie that relied on the suspension of logic and common sense to work, it just didn't come across that way. If that makes sense. I have no problems putting my mind in a bottle for 2 hours and watching a silly movie without thinking about why it doesn't make any sense. But something about this one just kinda grated on me in that regard.

It had its moments. There were some jokes that really were LOL-worthy; it also had some that fell flat. It is live action Family Guy. The thing for me is, Family Guy is contained within a 30-minute segment. I don't care for the Star Wars Family Guy movies - it's too much.

I enjoyed it. It has a goofy premise (talking teddy bear) but at heart it's just a movie about childhood buddies when one is a bad influence on the other and whether or not we're responsible for ourselves, etc.,. It's funny watching a teddy bear do bad things, Wahlberg's okay in it, Mila Kunis I'd watch if she did nothing but sat there in a trenchcoat and stared at the screen... It's not Shakespeare but it was a decent way to kill 90 minutes in air conditioning. Plus it's narrated by Patrick Stewart.

As far as the movie, though it had its moments. Overall, MEH.

NBCU’s Steve Burke Says He Wants ‘Ted 2′ “As Soon As We Can”
Sequels and animation are at the top of the agenda for Universal‘s film production – a business that’s “not for the faint of heart” — NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke told analysts today at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference. “We’ve had our ups and downs,” he says. But he hopes to stabilize things by promoting “as many franchises as we can.” He vows that “you’ll see future Bourne films” following the success of The Bourne Legacy. He adds that Universal has “dusted off” its American Pie franchise and “we’d like to see a Ted 2 as soon as we can.” He’s upbeat about upcoming sequels to Despicable Me and Fast And Furious. In addition, Burke says he wants Universal to have more animation. “The key is to go from making one film every 18 months to making two a year.”

Late to the thread (A Q that defeated it's predecessor, no less).
I thought it was hysterical. I've been wishing for my friends to die of Lou Gehrig disease for weeks now. Though to be honest, the best part wasn't really the movie. Steve Moore (the center for Mizzou) is always out and about in Columbia. We've drank with him a few times and he's just a badass guy. In either event, we saw him come in and sit behind us with some chick. So when they're at the fancy dinner and Wahlburg orders some Cristal and says "Hey, all those rich black guys can't be wrong" Moore just says in the most disgusted voice possible "Man...what the ****!?" I dunno why, it just cracked me the hell up. Steve Moore loved him some asian jokes, etc... for the rest of the movie, but do not disparage black dudes and their affinity for Cristal because Steve Moore will **** you up.

Finally watched it tonight. It was ok. Had a few moments. Mainly the Sam Jones /Flash Gordon stuff. That was hilarious to me because I'm also a huge fan of that flick.
I know it's his Schtick, but sometimes Mcfarlane goes overboard with his pop culture jokes. I also felt like there wasn't enough story for a complete movie. The last 30 minuets with the creepo father and son was pretty meh and dragged.
