So do you think alcohol should be banned too? Is it your opinion that the prohibition of these drugs has worked?

You are making my point. Outlawing substances creates a black market, which creates organized “crime” which police are forced to engage, which turns violent, which causes more laws, and the cycle continues to get worse.

Because the only thing more dangerous than a mainstream, legalized heroin junkie is a black market heroin junkie.

Certain drugs need to stay banned. We're not talking about weed or alcohol here....we're talking about ****ing Heroin, dude.

Your argument is nonsensical, unless you're going to argue that the government (regardless of level) should not be banning any substance, product, or action, ever. In that case, your argument would be insane.

Im arguing that the government shouldn’t have the right to legislate what i own, consume, use or carry. They should also have no part in peer to peer transactions, transfers, or gifts.

The only things that should be legislated are legitimate issues that negatively impact others. (Damage to others life, body, or property)

He specifically said victimless crimes in his first post.

Heroin usage often leads to legitimate issues that negatively impact others. Such as damage to others life, body, property and even death.

I understand what you're getting at, i made those same arguments when i was a young whipper snapper. But there is a line to be drawn. Heroin is certainly that line.

Wait, do you think there are people who want to do heroin but only refuse to do so because it's not legal? Otherwise, what would change if it were decriminalized other than the black market suffering?

Prohibition hasn’t worked. Americans consume over 1/3 of the worlds “illegal” drugs.

On top of that, it has created an unstable black market of varying quality products, a slew of violence and a huge tax investment in enforcement. It is a gigantic fail on every level.
