Package Deal with Bienemy and Dorsey?
Sources tell Matt Lombardo of FanSided that Eric Bieniemy and John Dorsey could be a package deal.
The upcoming hiring season should begin in the next few weeks in the NFL as one of several frustrated teams hungry for new leadership will make the first move to hire a new regime. For one team, it could include a reunion of former and current Kansas City Chiefs employees.

Matt Lombardo, National NFL columnist for FanSided, has word that former Chiefs general manager John Dorsey and current offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy might make themselves available as a package deal of sorts for a team looking to recreate the stable success of Kansas City.

Interesting. So if that is the case Bienemy would be looking for a place with a HC and GM opening..

I don't know about a haul but they need to get a 1st round pick minimum.


As a GM I would rather trade for Darnold if I was sitting in the 20's than develop Lance or pray on Fields.

I was a fan of Ashtyn Davis during the draft and Bryce Hall is talented...add Lawrence and another good draft there's some pieces there.

I'd want out of CJ Moselys dumbass contract though.

How has fields not played like a top 10 pick? He had a Heisman like season just last year. Right now the biggest knock on him is slow decision making but he checks every other box by a lot. At worst he'll be an athletic qb who doesn't make mistakes which is a good fit for Jacksonville.

All 4 will go in the 1st round. Likely high in the first round. The league is always starved for QB's.

Any owner or team president would be a complete fool to hitch their wagons to John Dorsey, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him end up with the Jets.

I can also see Atl and Jacksonville has already fired their GM right? Marrone is on borrowed time- he's gone on Black Monday, if not before. They have a ton of picks but play in a tough division (if you think Houston will be back to the playoffs again next yr).

Detroit makes alot of sense for a package deal for EB if he wants Dorsey. Ford family gives their hires a lot of time.

Whether we want to admit it or not, John Dorsey built this current Chiefs team. The dude is a helluva drafter. I’m still not sold on Veach as a great talent evaluator but he’s the cap guru that Dorsey wasn’t which is why he’s here now and Dorsey is gone.

What happened is exactly what needed to happen. Dorsey should forever be a folk hero for making the most insane trade ever to move up 15 spots and draft the greatest player in NFL history. I'm glad we have Veach now, but Dorsey will always be the guy that made the single greatest move of any GM in Chiefs history.

At some point Veach will need to have some Dorsey level drafts. Three straight drafts with no pro bowl level players is going to be a problem very shortly if he can’t figure it out.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s been great with contracts and the fans love him because of the success we’ve been enjoying on the backs of Dorsey selected players.

Give it a few years and we’ll see what the opinion of Brett Veach is around here. Like the guy but he needs to hit on some draft picks.
