But I refuse to blame this one on the refs. Obviously they butchered the saints game. But I'm pretty sure the NFL woiofve preferred a Brady and brees showdown. |

"Just getting off the phone with the league office. They blew the call," Payton said following the loss. "Man, there were a lot of opportunities though, but that call puts it first-and-10 and we'd only need three plays. It's a game-changing call. That's where it's at, so it's disappointing. For a call like that not to be made, it's just hard to swallow."
To make things worse, the NFL's vice president of officiating, Al Riveron, actually admitted to Payton that there were a total of two missed penalties on the play. "[The league] said not only was it interference, but it was helmet-to-helmet," Payton said. "There were two calls [the refs missed], they couldn't believe it. We spoke initially, then I called to follow up and the first thing Al said when I got on the phone, 'We messed it up.'" https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/r...going-forward/ That sure helps the Saints now. This crap has to end. |

. There is no way you miss that call unless you blatantly want to miss that call.

The NFL wanted a east coast vs a west coast superbowl. The refs work for the NFL.
If not for the phony roughing the passer call, we'd have won. Once we had the lead and it looked like we were going to upset the chosen team, the refs went into action. No, I nor any of my family will watch the SB.

Yeah - there is nothing about that game that I would waste time on. Literally, nothing.

No one in the midwest will watch, but the NFL doesn't care about the midwest. All they care about is the northeast and California.

I'm not going to call it a boycott. I just have no interest in watching it.

In the day and age when we are constantly told by the NFL that "we have to make sure that we get the calls right" - and there are 140 cameras utilized on each play - you can not help but wonder how the hell the refs could miss that call - when, during the regular season, calls like that are made EASILY and CONSTANTLY (seems like on every play). The only logical assumption is that they decided to NOT call anything on that play - a play which would have all but ended that game and gave the Saints the win. What else are we to think? And the coming year? We'll see the same shit again - and again - and again. After all, its an "entertainment business"..... |

I don't buy the NFL narrative garbage. The refs just blew it against NO. They would have been ecstatic to have a Brees-Brady Super Bowl. |

I took the day after the SB off so I could have a SB party. I will NOT be watching now. The Saints got absolutely ****ed out of the SB, and the only reason I can think of regarding that is that the NFL really wanted the Lambs in the SB. Now the NFL can apologize to the Saints and say they made a bad call and will look at changing some rules in the off season, but that doesn't change anything for the Saints. So F the Super Blow. I'm out.

I enjoy football so I have a policy of not watching games involving the Patriots unless it's a Chiefs game. Been doing it for a few years now.
