Brady had a laser pointer in his face on at least a few plays last night

Shameful....

A KC professor who specializes in this stuff says it was a cheap laser pointer being used from the back of the end zone. Could definitely do damage to the retina

The level of discourse here is below replacement level. There's a lot Trumpian childlishness, false bravado, barely disguised envy. Sadly, it reinforces all the Red State, flyover country stereotypes out there. It's worse than the main Yankee forum and the Jets Gang Green and that's saying a lot.

I was in Kansas City for the game and there is a flatness and plainness about the place that is palpable from the time you leave the airport. I don't know. Perhaps it is because you have only two professional teams in the four major sports. No NBA. No NHL. Or lack of a major university within the city confines. You do have a terrific art museum which I visited.

At the hotel bar a semi-inebriated, not so friendly, local identified me as not being from "around here" even though I didn't wear a stitch of New England clothing the entire weekend. And all I was doing was quietly talking with the bartender!

I was so happy to return home despite horrendous weather...as the plane banks around into Boston there's the ocean on the right, the mountains to the left, beautiful historic towns everywhere, Harvard and MIT down there, and the Celtics on TV later in the evening.

Coasts are good!
So a dude correctly picked you out as not from KC.

I wasn't there, so I don't know, but I'm going to guess that there is a >0% chance you were being a ****. Plus the fact that you completely dismiss the fact that this likely happens in every sports bar in Boston puts the probability at well over 50%.

Mathematically speaking, I'm not out of turn by asserting that you are indeed a ****.

Link? I say it was auto focus until this "Professor who specializes in cheap laser pointers" can prove otherwise. And I've further ruled that it was a Pats fan with the camera, trying to setup an excuse in case they lost...

Plus it's Tom Brady and the ****ing Pats, nobody gives a shit. Those assholes deserve anything they get.

It must drive you crazy that Brady, Belichick and Kraft are big Trump supporters. Please tell your friends the midwest sucks and we will maybe keep the folks who are slowly fleeing high taxes from moving inland and bringing their liberal beliefs with them to a minimum.

Yeah, this guy was probably recognized as a Connecticut person because he was a rude, caustic, mouth-breathing, entitled sub-idiot who smelled like a polluted beach. Just a guess.

A Patriots fan did it so they could brag to their friends that they shined a laser in Tom Brady's eye. No question about it.

I found this post to have a flatness and plainness about it. The not so friendly feel is palpable from the outset.

I'm not allowed to post links but copy+paste the below into Google and it will send you to the article

Laser researcher Charles Cobb, DDS, MS, PhD., said based on the size of the spot, it looks like the person was sitting far back in the end zone, possibly in a corner.

Cough,

Explain could definitely?

Scientific American

Quote:
This answer comes from Douglas A. Johnson, a senior health physicist and laser safety officer for Texas A&M University. He is also adjunct lecturer in the nuclear engineering department. Doug is a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for laser safety standards. (The ANSI Z136 series is recognized by OSHA, and is the authoritative laser safety document in the United States.)

Image: CNN Interactive

LASER POINTER shines into the camera lens.
Eye damage from a pocket laser is unlikely, but could be possible under certain conditions. Red laser pointers that are "properly labeled" in the 3-5 mW range have not caused eye damage -- no retinal damage has been reported -- but there are very real concerns. One is pointers not manufactured to federal specifications. There are reports that green lasers, improperly imported to the U.S., far exceed safety limits.
In FDA-regulated pointers, the laser power limit is set at one-tenth the actual threshold of damage. If a person sees a bright light, they will automatically blink, on the average in less than 0.2 seconds. This is referred to as the blink reflex, and it is considered when the limit is assigned for how much power will cause an eye injury. By the way, you shouldn't force a stare at a laser, just like you shouldn't stare at the sun or any bright light source.

Possible more potentially damaging -- although not to the eye -- is that a regular pointer laser can overwhelm the eye with light, typically called flash blindness. If a person is walking a rocky path, operating machinery, a vehicle or aircraft, this temporary loss of vision could cause injury or disaster. At night, when the pupil is most open, the effects would be magnified.[/QUOTE]

Referred to above article by my brother in law, a Retinologist, who has only once seen lazer pointer retina damage and it was caused by laser pointer directed at an drug impaired person's eye intentionally at close range.

Looking at an eclipse is said to do the same and Trump eyes seem fine.
