NFT: If you have up to $45k to spend on the next car

Got hit this last week and may have the current vehicle totaled out, which isn't a bad thing since I'm pretty well above water on the loan/value ratio.

So, while I'm waiting to find out if we go the "totaled" route, I would need to move fast on the next vehicle.

Desired Specs
4-5 seater
4 door
Fast (300+ hp)
Looks cool
Car or SUV, not a Truck or Van

Bells/Whistles
Air Conditioned/Cooling seats (it's hot in TX)
Backup Camera
Decent interface/console

Age
Ideally not "Brand New" so I don't eat the cost driving off the lot
If 4-5 years old, then the vehicle better be worth it

Cost
Top end of budget is $45k
Can also be lower for the right car, as it would reduce current car payments

Since this happened out of the blue, what should be on my radar?

Leasing is like renting a house. Do you want a payment forever or do you want to get it paid off eventually.,

BTW . I'm now at $32K , season tickets . My Gheenoe and a labrador.

Absolutely love the car and I looked at plenty. Audi Q5, Cadillac XT5, Kia Telluride, Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia, etc, Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra to name a few.
F-pace is fast, sporty drive, decent gas mileage (21 - 22 mpg in town), 23 -24 mpg on the highway, cruising at 80-85 mph. Great looking car as well.

What sold me on the car vs, the Audi Q5 was the service. All service included up to 50K miles, warranty extended to 7 years 100K miles. For Audi you have to buy a service contract.
Those are pretty sweet looking; visually I dig the F-Pace for sure. The 35t is turbo charged?

Re: Panamara, those are pretty sweet as well although they sit loooow. Would be my primary concern on them.

My ride...broke out the Canon camera. It has appreciated $4k since I bought it 7 years ago...essentially driving it for free.

I think it has one of the most beautiful, iconic front views ever..

Spoiler!

Deere was pushing leases pretty hard a few years ago but I couldn't make the numbers work. Yeah, you could get a pretty cheap machine if you cannibalized the equity in the machine you trade in. Then the next time, when you didn't have a trade it was pretty freaking expensive.

I haven't ever made the numbers work very well, even with Deere's incentives. But I'm also approaching ag machines from a different perspective than your daily driver.

My last two have been Lexus. 2015 GS350 and now a 2018 LS500 F Sport. You can get a GS350 F Sport or step up to the RWD GS F as both meet your desired spec and can be found used/certified with lower miles in your budget. The ride and finish on both of my was more than I could have hoped for. Good luck!

I was originally going to say a BMW M2, but probably not coming from a Porsche.... more like an M6. For some reason I've always been intrigued by the Macan, but haven't ever test driven one.
I’ve had a Macan Turbo w/ performance package (awful name) which is basically what a Turbo S would be sans carbon breaks for the past year and a half. Came from an M3 wanting something more practical and the Macan has been a perfect combo of performance, comfort and some practicality. I’ve even been impressed with the base model I’ve had as dealer loaners though the are underpowered with a turbo 4.

A good used S with 340 hp and DCT can probably be had around 45k.

I'd be worried about the charging element of it...also repairs. What's that process like?

I've actually been checking out Macans for a bit this evening. Worried about downsizing from the Cayenne, but the zip of the lower weight vehicle might be nice.

Been looking at Macan Turbos (2015/16) and a few are out there around $45k.
