Which RB did you want the Chiefs to draft?

Chiefs nabbed up CEH and I couldn't be happier with the decision, but before the draft I was rooting for us to grab up Zack Moss.

Did you have another RB or no RB at all in mind for the Chiefs?

I wanted them to find a way to draft Isaiah Simmons myself but I knew that was unlikely so I next wanted Patrick Queen. But Willie Gay may be just as good, he just has a risk to be a bust.

I wanted the Wisconsin RB if I had to pick a RB. I know he has alot of miles on him, but shouldn't matter much you only keep RBs for their first contract.

I wanted them to draft D'Andre Swift, but I'm happy with CEH. I figured it would be one of them.

Zach Moss.

There were other good options but Moss was projected as a 3rd leading up to the draft and he checked all the boxes the Chiefs traditionally liked at RB. We wouldn’t have had to burn a 1st on him.

The Chiefs have transitioned a lot more aggressively to a RB/WR combo than I anticipated, though. It’s why Damien was killing it, it’s why Ware was brought back, it’s why Washington was signed this offseason, and of course CEH doesn’t just fit the mold, he straight-up *is* the mold. Darrel and Darwin are imperfect fits to that, but I thought they were the kind of RB the Chiefs wanted.

Moss is perfect for that “powerful RB with receiving chops you can mix in” role, but yeah it does seem the Chiefs want an RB depth chart of James Whites.

I thought Moss was/is 2016 Spencer Ware.

Same here, but Andy takes someone else and turns them into a stud (he already is anyway) and makes us all look stupid. So whoever Andy and Veach want is who I want

I wanted us to draft Gay in the first. So I was ecstatic when we got him in the 2nd. Didn’t think we’d go rb in the first but feel CEH is gonna be a beast in this offense.

I was dreaming of Isaiah Simmons too.

My first RB pick would have been Swift.

I had them getting Moss in the 3rd for my mock, but my dream scenario was CEH making it to us in round 2 (knew that wouldn’t happen obviously). I wasn’t even remotely considering him in the 1st until the last couple of days leading up to the draft to be honest though.

In hindsight, I’m glad we pulled the trigger at 32, because Willie Gay and CEH were a perfect 1-2 for us IMO. Especially after that happened with Damien.

I was expecting an OL but with CEH being the double threat he is as a RB/WR I got nuttin' to complain about.
