Man behind GoFundMe for Trump's wall allegedly pocketed money meant for wounded vets

https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...gedly-pocketed

Quote:
GoFundMe spokesman Bobby Whithorne confirmed to Buzzfeed News that Kolf.age in 2015 launched a GoFundMe that raised $16,246 under the premise that the money would go to a veteran mentorship program. Whitorne said the money went directly to Kolf.age.

Kolf.age in Facebook posts that have been deleted said that he was working with Walter Reed, Brooke Army Medical Center, and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Representatives for the centers told Buzzfeed News that they don't have record of Kolf.age working with veterans at their facilities.

“We do not have a record of Mr. Kolf.age visiting Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in any official capacity after 2012,” Chief of Public Affairs at Landstuhl Gia Oney told the online outlet. “We have no record of a donation made in his name to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.”
He also liked to write fake news in his spare time!

Quote:
Buzzfeed News reviewed text messages and emails between Kolf.age and former employees that show he pushed writers to sensationalize stories.

During one exchange, Lowery pushed back on Kolf.age's demand that she "get creative" when choosing an image for an article that claimed former FBI Director James Comey "committed treason."

“So get creative like using fake photoshopped images?” she responded, Buzzfeed News reported. “I was kind of taken back at this...”

“Yup it’s just a graphic. Best story of [the] day,” Kolf.age said, according to the outlet.

“It’s fake,” she said. "I don't see how this [is] making us a legit website."

“That’s not for u to worry about,” he replied.
What a winner! How shocking that you retards thought he was such a fine, upstanding gentleman that you all managed to hand over 20 million dollars to him thinking it would actually go to a wall

I think most people who gave a couple of bucks did so symbolically...can't imagine they thought this would go anywhere...just making a statement I would think. I'm sure you can find exceptions.

Hey let's check in on how Baby Lee's post has aged in the last...15 hours:

A GoFundMe campaign raised $20 million for a border wall—now all of the funds will be returned

But hey, don't worry, Kolf.age isn't backing down yet!

Quote:
Kolf.age writes that he consulted with "politics, national security, construction, and finance" experts and came to several conclusions, including that "The federal government won't be able to accept our donations anytime soon" and "We are better equipped than our own government to use the donated funds to build an actual wall on the southern border."

For this reason, Kolf.age says that he has now established a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization named "We Build the Wall, Inc." He lists several controversial conservative figures as members of the organization, including former Kansas gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach and Sheriff David Clarke.
Kobach? Clarke? It's a who's who of former elected Republicans who can't get elected anymore! And they're going to build the wall themselves!

Dozens of emojis will make it look like I made a good point and and they'll think that I'm totes not a retard because it makes it look like I'm laughing at them when I'm really just insecure about my thoughts so I need to add dozens of emojis to make it appear I'm confident in what I said.

What is it Prison Bitch said in some other thread, I think about the sanctuary state killer that turned out to have nothing to do with sanctuary laws? Something like "libshits won't touch this one"?

Seems like we have a prime example here of all the conservative retards refusing to touch that a scam artist nearly took their very smart friends for $20 million before GoFundMe intervened

The GoFundMe becoming a big thing and raiding millions was probably the worst possible thing that could have happened. He was likely hoping to raise a few thousand and no one would really know or care when he kept the money.
