What should trump give to get his 5B for the wall?

Trump's approach here seems to be to whine and hope he gets his way. But if you want to make a deal, both sides need to be happy with it.

Trump is supposedly the master dealmaker, lol, clearly not.

What would you give the democrats in exchange for getting the wall?

Yes, it does:

GAO found that: (1) illegal aliens in the United States generate more in costs than revenues to federal, state, and local governments combined; (2) estimates of the national net cost of illegal aliens vary greatly, ranging from $2 billion to $19 billion;

But to reply to your dodge question: I believe the intentional circumvention of our birthright citizenship provision should be preventing by not allowing those births to take place on American soil.

I am also in favor of an amendment denying citizenship to any non-citizens who manage to evade the authorities and sneak into our country illegally to birth those babies here.

That plain enough for you?
I understand you want to change the 14th amendment.

But do you think the constitution as is should apply to all Americans?

Having read the actual GAO report, and not just the summary, I don't think (1) is consistent with the full report. I think (2) is incomplete - the 3 studies included in the review varied greatly in their estimates, from $2B to $19B, but it's inaccurate to say "[all] estimates vary between those ranges."

So the GAO's summary is wrong?

I think breaking into our country to squat out anchor babies needs to be prevented by any means necessary.

Border Patrol union deleted 2012 webpage opposing border wall

Quote:
“Walls and fences are temporary solutions that focus on the symptom (illegal immigration) rather than the problem (employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens),” the union wrote in a media FAQ.
Quote:
“Walls and fences are only a speed bump,” the webpage reads. “People who want to come to the United States to obtain employment will continue to go over, under, and around the walls and fences that are constructed.”

The union argued additional barriers “will undoubtedly result in an increase in fraudulent documents and smuggling through the ports of entry” as frustrated migrants seek other modes of entry.“

Not the ones we load on a trebuchet and fling screaming 500 feet back over the wall with their umbilical cords trailing like the tail on a kite.

I think item (1) in what you quoted isn't supported by the document it's summarizing.

Why not? What's wrong with the multiple sources that the GAO report used? I thought you liked multiple sources/reports?

Anyway, what parts of the document don't support the summary?

It's weird seeing an argument between vp, Dong and Panties.

Don't confuse the guy with the facts.......He still labors under the delusion that every illegal that hops across our border does to "contribute" to the American economy.
