NBC News: "Just" six terrorists apprehended in 2018 on Southern border...

The bias just bleeds from their headlines... The media is the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.

Okay. So you acknowledge that walls are effective. Good.

Asinine use of resources? You mean fiscal resources?

Serious environmental consequences? It's just a steel wall. Can you provide some examples of these extreme environmental consequences?

Possibly some. Let's find out, if the owners of this land would have any issues with it. I'm sure they love having illegals pour onto their land. Right?

That's a big oversimplification of how terrorists can exploit our southern border. Drug dealers, human traffickers and illegal immigrants have been exploiting our southern border for quite some time. Latin America and the southern border affords terrorist networks promising avenues: a long, disorderly border; corrupt officials; well organized smuggling rings. Endemic official graft makes it easy to obtain travel documents. Police forces are often inefficient and corrupt. As for empty insults, my charitable response would be to quote Freud: "The man who first flung a word of abuse at his enemy instead of a spear was the founder of civilization”.

Is one US death by a gun too much? All guns should be outlawed? There are reasonable measures that should be taken in gun safety and there are reasonable measures that should be taken in border enforcement or terror prevention, etc. At some point you either get to a point of diminishing returns or you get to a point where you are overpoliced to the point that it becomes a police state. We aren't guarding the Berlin wall. It's not a DMZ. Yes too many people come across still but we are the lowest it's been in like 45 years. Interesting is that it dropped dramatically a few years after NAFTA. Almost like people prefer staying in their own country when they have economic opportunity there. Seems that if they didn't have it here because we focused on punishing those who hire illegally that maybe they wouldn't come here.

A wall doesn't fix those who overstay VISAs. There are a ton of people who cross legally and just stay. How do you fix that? Target those who hire illegally. But no, let's keep beating the drum for an ineffective waste of money.

The terrorist angle - and the stats that either support or condemn a wall - is all static anyways.

You could tell me zero terrorists have crossed our southern border, and it wouldnt change the fact that illegal immigration has been harmful to our country - even if that impact has decreased in the past two years, it's still too much of a negative impact (with taxpayer costs, drugs, and violence at the top of the list).

It's that simple. Stop playing word games and shell games with statistics. The bottom line is: Illegal immigration is bad for this country - at any level.

I leave it to people "in the know" to determine what remedy (wall, or otherwise) will best address the issue.

But please stop trying to pretend this isnt an issue.

Be honest, you don't want the wall because it will work. Nobody is buying into Dems hating spending the money. That is laughable. Hilariously laughable.

State after state is giving welfare and other entitlement benefits to illegal aliens so I don't want to hear a damn thing about the cost of the wall.

It will work and that's why Dems hate it, you know it, I know it. Walls have ALWAYS worked as a deterrent.

Let's say I care a lot more about doing what we can to stop illegal immigrants than I do about the speckled Mexican grey wolf.
