We'd be unstoppable with Chris Godwin.

I like it, though I think you may be underestimating what WRs get on the market.
I could see Smith-Schuster on a deal like the one you suggest, but have a hard time believing Godwin settles for that. I like the Ogbah idea, though. A lot. Wonder if he's interested in a reunion. I like the draft a lot, too. Practically ideal. (though you're still perhaps wondering if long-term they don't slip a bit once Kelce and Hill show some of that inevitable decline).

What makes you think Godwin is signing for $25 million? Even with a torn ACL…..dude is going to get paid.

Godwin's probably a no-go financially.
And honestly, in THIS offense as a #3, Juju is probably just as effective at a much lower cost. Love the Ogbah reunion. love Maye. Not sure Bynes is a good fit. I'd keep Wanogho, Watts, Baker, D'OD and Hughes as all are inexpensive depth and special teams players. No need to gut the depth, even if we don't like them as starting level players. |

Tyreeks cap hit next year is 20 mil. Just by extending him we will be able to lower that significantly. We are sitting way better cap wise then a lot of people think.
Like others mentioned I think Godwin will demand way more than that, but I’m willing to go there. We’ve been extremely fortunate with Tyreek and Kelces health. But Kelce will be 33 next year. And we can’t expect him to stay at this level forever. Godwin is the perfect fit, and by all accounts a great teammate. He’s what Veach had thought Sammy would be |

I have some major reservations about this one bud.
Terrell Edmunds, one of the better starting strong safeties in the NFL, is going to sign for vet minimum as a reserve? His OTC value for 2021 was 8.1 million. Chances are better he gets closer to the 14 per Landon Collins signed for than vet minimum. Chris Godwin is closer to a 25 million per WR, not 2 for 25. I can't imagine he signs for less than 20 per. If he has to take less, I'd think it'll be on a 1-year "prove it" deal coming off his injury. I can't imagine Kaiir Elam being around when we pick at 32 much less in round 2. I understand he's been dropped in the rankings a bit of late to the lower 1 range because he got knicked up this past year but he was a top-15 guy up to this point. Good CB's go high and he's a good one. No way he's there in the late 30s or 40's IMO. Drake Jackson is interesting. Some boards have him late 1. I don't but I can see why they do. I think he might be better in a 3-4 but he's a guy I'd jump on at 64. I don't see him being there that late. I don't see Pitre there at the end of 3 either. He's an end of 2 guy IMO. If you don't take him there, I think he's gone very early 3rd. Pitre is alot like Thornhill was coming out.\\ Unless it's purely about money, I think chances are higher KC brings back Reed than Nnadi at this point. Things I do like... Marcus Maye might be the right type to get at a discount on a "prove it" deal after injury. He's a good player and I think that price may be right. I'm all about a DT in the 3rd, especially if KC has an extra one. I don't know that Winfrey is there but he'd be a solid get if he were. I do like Travis Jones quite a bit. I'm high on Pidarian Mathis too if he's around in 2. Like I said in the other thread about OT, I wouldn't hate if a solid one dropped to grab one. I think Lucas is pretty solid as a RT prospect. |
