Once again, I agree with Chris. Fisher was 1.1 and maybe we did expect the next Willie Roaf. But he has been solid and you can't say that for most of the 1st rounders in the 2013 draft.

Fisher was a starting LT. Dorsey didn't re-set the market for LTs with Fisher's contract at all. He got paid appropriately.

Dorsey loves him some overpaid players, but Fisher isn't one of them. You're also a ****ing idiot for thinking this.

Really, I don't over value average LT's who look better when playing with a generational QB, quite an eloquent personal attack BTW

Average LTs don't grow on trees, and when they do, you still have to pay them eventually. Or let them walk. And letting them walk sounds great in theory until you end up with some Cam Erving mother****er protecting your franchise.

Again, it's not like we re-set the market for LTs by giving top money to Fisher. We didn't. Not even at the time of his extension. We DID do that with the LDT contract, after he had only shown half of a season of truly consistent play as a starter on the OL.

Fisher is the 11th highest paid LT. The total value of his contract is almost half of #1 Taylor Lewan.

LDT makes more than Fisher and people around here loved the contract we gave him. Fisher didn't get a huge contract. Dorsey got fired because Andy wanted full power so guys like Maclin and Jamaal Charles wouldn't get cut without his approval. Dorsey didn't want to give big contracts to Houston and Berry, that was Reid. Clark Hunt flew up to KC to negotiate the contract with Berry because Dorsey wanted insurance and limits on Berry's contract.

I noticed he wasn't playing all that well. I'll chalk it up to rust. Hopefully he improves against the Raiders.

he probably has to build some strength in his lower body

he needs to go down to lifetime fitness and do 4x12 reps 3x a week on the leg press - at least 50 pounds on there buddy

Also there was another LT that most said was a better LT than Fisher. Time has proven that Fisher was the better choice and they didn't miss on a stud player in that draft.

That would be Luke Joeckel and he was so bad at LT that he got moved to Guard. Now he's out of football and doing an internship for a Dallas real estate firm.
