Should the Chiefs have drafted Watson over Mahomes?

Another strong game today for Watson. 3 TDs against the Titans so far.

Kid just seems to have 'It'.

No. Watson has great intangibles and I am happy for him. Just wait till Mahomes gets in next year.

Exactly - Watson is playing lights out, but he has trouble throwing the deep ball - not due to a lack of arm strength, so I'm sure he'll be able to improve. However, once defenses study him, and what the Texans are doing, they'll figure him out. Right now, he and the Texans have the advantage because he has totally changed their offense. Not really much film on him. DC's are trying to give him different looks to confuse him and in the process they're making mistakes. Just play the kid straight up, and disguise stuff like you normally would, in any other game, but be conscious of the fact that he can run, and in the course of doing that - let the "rookie" come out in him.

Exactly. Yesterday, the Titans were doing all kinds of stuff to "confuse him." Yet, all that accomplished was confusing themselves. So, he was able to take advantage of them, rather than the other way around.

Hopefully, when the Chiefs play them- they won't give Watson wide open receivers all day like the Titans did along with no pass rush.

Any scrub could have put up those numbers the way the Titans covered. Pitiful.

He does have a lack of arm strength. His arm is Chad Pennington-esque.

I just hope Alex Smith does something finally this year to make it worth the wait. If we go 1 and done again in the playoffs it will be a real kick in the nuts. Trubisky is getting the start this week, so we have to be the most patient of all the teams with young signal callers.

Everyone who we don't like and has non-elite arm strength gets compared to some noodler like Pennington, and everyone with elite arm strength that we don't like gets compared to Jeff George.

When we do like them, they either get compared to elite QBs who had less than ideal arm strength or to legends with big arms.

The common denominator? People posting whatever comparisons they want based on their personal like or dislike and not a lot else.

Umm, no. Look at his velocity at the combine. It was 49 mph I believe? His throwing velocity was the worst of any quarterback. So no, it's not personal bias. His lack of arm strength comes from factual evidence.
