Identify the error made during this arrest.

The succinct version. See if you can find the error.

1. Woman commits or threatens road rage with a gun.
2. Police find her and stop her.
3. She stops just past some railroad tracks.
4. Officer parks car on railroad tracks. (It gets worse.)
5. Officer arrests woman and puts her in the patrol car.
6. Train approaches.
7. Officer checks woman's car.
8. Train approaches.
9. Presumably the woman is pretty agitated by this point while officer is checking out her car.
10. Train hits patrol car.

No matter what you did, it would be very unpleasant to be locked in the back of a patrol car watching a train coming at you.

Apparently the woman will survive, but with significant injuries and presumably a massive lawsuit settlement.
