Look at Dallas, I mean, obviously Zeke is an elite badass. But they can get 80% of that production from the dudes they've got. Now that 20% is ****ing awesome and frankly, they've built their team around him so they kinda have to pay him, but that is a whole other argument.
I'd rather put the Elite RB money into a solid line that helps with both pass pro and run blocking.

"The Kansas City Star's Mac Cheese reports rookie Darwin Thompson has leaped Carlos Hyde on the depth chart and has been getting goal-line work with the first-team offense.

Mac Cheese is the latest Chiefs beat writer to leave Hyde off her 53-man roster projection, keeping Thompson along with Damien and Darrel Williams. Thompson has been so good this preseason, and Hyde has been as bad as Thompson has been good. All Hyde has going for him is his veteran presence; he doesn't play special teams, either. Thompson is picking up big-time steam as a late-round fantasy pick. It's going to be tough to keep him off the field."

Darrell Williams has the most special teams snaps of anyone in preseason games so far...that's probably going to matter in the decision.

Yes but a lot of that was because they liked Darrell so they made a spot for him. This year the roster has more talent so carrying an extra RB is going to be harder.

Those guys will flip the script In a single play and that's a priceless weapon to have imo. Especially If you pair that with Pat because what can a defense do exactly?
Jamaal was a generational talent, but he got hurt too much. In Andy's first year here JC was awarded his 2nd All-Pro award. JC led the league in rushing TDs and total TDs. He only played in 15 games and was 20 yards from having having 2000 yards from scrimmage. He had almost 1300 yards rushing on just 259 carries averaging 5 ypc. Then to top it all off he had 70 receptions for 693 yards and 7 Rec TDs.

So JC was #3 in rushing yards and top 60 in receiving yards, so he basically gave you the production of a #2 WR.

So if we are hypothetically speaking and say we drafted someone with JCs exact talent, but was also seldomly injured, then I would make that player the highest paid non QB in the league. If you paired that player with Patrick Mahomes I couldn't imagine what his stats would be like.

But since it's football and you don't know if a player will stay healthy or not I don't know if I would be willing to take that risk on a RB because of the amount of times they get hit.

Lol, you don't pay RBs $20M per on their second contract.

Quit huffing paint.

I would have to agree. If Andy keeps pulling Aces out of the deck, you flip those "generational RB's" for every dime you can get.

I think it’s Kelce’s week to shine, but would love if we saw some life out of the RB group this week!
