I bet that was a beta douche white Liberal who just last week went to a protest and voted for banning guns.

Bet he regrets it now or he is probably saying he deserved it because of his white privilege.

Boy what a time that would have been for a concealed carry permit. Shoot all those ****ing animals because they are less than animals.

Weird.

On TV it's always the white people ganging up and attacking the innocents.

It's almost like this happens way more often.

Has anyone considered these innocent POC's were just combating white supremacy?

You better run through the jungle ...

Fogerty said that song wasn't about Vietnam, but about gun violence (and gun control) in big cities ... but, for the purpose of this conversation, the reference to any violence will do.

One violent crime is one too many. We are not animals. Unfortunately, city dwellers have become inured to the problem. In Nashville, crimes like car-jackings, gun-related robberies, murder, etc. are almost a daily news item. (We see very few "Orphan Saves Lost Puppy" stories here.) In fact, in early 2019, the State of Tennessee began outpacing the National crime rate by probably 60% or so. As you can imagine, Nashville is contributing (as are other cities ... notably Memphis) to that statistic and we're holding our own.

I'm no longer on the wrong side of the law because my days as an unabashed heathen are over, so I'm merely an observer ... and here's what I've seen ...

Nashville's population began growing at unprecedented rates over the last couple of years. Incredibly, (attracted by favorable taxation, weather, and culture) people began coming in by the hundreds of thousands every month. As that happened, violent crime increased exponentially (at least, crime reporting did). The issue stressed the government and the police to the breaking point. New arrivals seemed to accept this as "business as usual". However, the "old guard - old south" Nashvillians basically said, "Enough" and policing became more proactive and the courts started moving cases through the system more quickly. That has had a dampening effect ... or so it appears at the moment.

Interestingly, we just had a runoff election for mayor. The incumbent went public with his plan to declare Nashville a Sanctuary City. He then proceeded to lose by a landslide to his opponent. Moral? If a community chooses not to tolerate crime and gets serious about it, they can diminish local violence and do it quickly. Period. As Uncle Merris used to tell us kids, "All politics are local and a hole in the ground with a derelict car parked on top makes a fine jail cell." Communities can complain or they can act. Their choice.

We know that poverty is a cause. We know that bullshit parenting is a cause. We know that the devolution of the family is a cause. We know that bullshit education is a cause. All those things can also be fixed. It isn't rocket surgery. It only requires will power to address both the cause and the effect.

Eventually, a community has to reach a breaking point. Here in the South, the bottom seems higher than it does in the North. Go figure.

As a teacher......shit like this started in schools. (and many lack of parenting)

Schools don't want to crack down on low level behaviors because it makes kids feel bad and may turn them off of school.

Then, by 'not sweating the small stuff' --"big stuff' starts to happen.

We do not give consequences or punishments to anyone. No one is held accountable in school.

Then they get out in the real world---commit a misdemeanor or felony-and some liberal asshole judge gives them probation....and they commit more crimes.

Never accepting they are the problem and being allowed to be an asshole for life.

Wednesday--I was ready to quit. I am seeing the effects of three years of student appeasement instead of real action. I also blame the Department of Human Rights of Minnesota for making schools react more about race than personal responsibility.

https://www.minnpost.com/education/2...ers-over-disc/ (some good and a lot of bad in this)

I came in Thursday and Friday and stepped harder on the necks of the students.. Called 10 parents and kicked a few out of class.

This is what the next generations will be like. No self control. No sense of responsibility. Entitled assholes.

Each one of the thugs above should be in jail at least 2 years. Some liberal Minnesota judge will give them probation so they can turn their lives around. Because white privilege.

I do not know if I said it here-I got hit in school last year. 7th grade girl because I tried to prevent her from slaughtering another student.

She got probation and counseling. Big deal. Her mom should get 2 years and 1500 in fines.

I talked to the school board. Told them publicly that if this does not stop-there will be no teachers. I live in the district, shop in the district and when someone asked what happened-I told them. Board was very embarrassed. When I talked to them privately- I used better words.
