He doesn’t run out of the slot because he sucks at that, too.

Taylor had almost 1200 yds last year and 11 TDs. I’d say he’s better than CEH at this point in their careers. And despite injuries, fumbles for Dobbins and Swift, both seem to have better burst than CEH, who appears to have gotten slower since last year.

Total bullshit. Cost us the game? Offense can't be perfect every week so if Clyde was the single reason then so was Mahomes throwing a pick. The DL has played like pussies for two weeks, they ruined the game and almost ruined both games. Williams is not a scrub.

No reason to have faith in him given what we've seen. Now, if he just suffered the lowest low of his NFL career with that fumble that's good, but he has a long way to go to get from the player who lacks vision and fumbled away a win to a great player.
But no matter what, he can't help the D...

He isn't good at making defenders miss in the hole or in the open field, why would we believe he'd be good at shaking a guy off in coverage? I'm all for trying something new because what he's got going on just isn't working, but he really just does not appear to have the tools necessary to be a great NFL RB. |

Great blocking by Kelce. But CEH runs straight Into the Ravens tackle at the end.

I’m reserving judgment until he’s healthy. Maybe he never will be, but the week 1 Clyde last season (his number one strength is his shiftiness/cutting ability) looked way different than week 1 Clyde this year. The high ankle sprain last season, followed by gall bladder surgery in the offseason, then spraining an ankle again this preseason…makes me wonder what he would look like close to 100%.

I gotta disagree here.
I think he is who he is. Average RB to slightly above average. I just don't see anything that is going to make CEH a great RB in NFL. He doesn't have great speed and he doesn't have great strength (can't break tackles w consistency). His vision is good but nothing special. He is decent at making defenders miss in open field but after that lacks big play explosion. I haven't seen anything to suggest he is much of a threat as a receiving RB either. Hopefully I'm wrong but I don't think he will ever be anything special. I think Reid will give our backups more carries if his lack of production continues. I'm hoping he tears it up next game though and proves me wrong but I doubt it. Last edited by PAChiefsGuy; 09-24-2021 at 07:40 AM.. |

He looked much better last year. He followed the crease and made something out of nothing. The kids in a funk. I believe he can turn it around. It could be the coaching change a little bit. The second play looks a little like what Mitch just talked about except Clyde follows his blocks towards the outside and makes guys miss.
