Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

My HK was a police trade. It has some noticeable holster wear, but my FFL guy is a retired cop and range master, and when he examined it he estimated that it hadn't had more than 300 rounds put through it. It'll last forever.

I have a police trade S&W .4006 and it's a pretty nice gun. It's nice to know the person your getting it from though. In the next month or so I'm getting a S&W .4506 from the same guy and it's premo (even better than the .4006). Only shot once a year for his in service training. In WV troops are given first dibs on their service weapons when they change out and can get additional ones through a lottery. They are changing out to S&W M&P .45's.

Come at me bro. It's the black color, safety on top, bead sight, 18.5" barrel, extended mag. I can't hit the broad side of a barn with it but my father was blowing everything up with. |

I'm tempted, but that's just too much money right now.

Close, it is the basic stock and the grip can't be put on with the buttstock.
I'm on my phone, but somewhere in this thread is the picture of it. Not sure what page its on but it was around janurary 3rd. If you can't find it I'll have my wife take a photo and put it on here. |

Maybe it isn't in this one, it's in the show me your arms thread. Give me a few and I'll take a picture of it.

I hear you on that. I was lucky in more ways than one. Bought the ACOG for my nephew for his tour and was lucky that he was able to come back and hand it back to me. I don't think I would have ever bought one for myself due to the high price but at the same time now that I have one, I love it!

You know what sucks about buying ammo online....shipping. It will cost $17 just to ship five 20 rnd boxes of 7.62 x 54r ammo. Damn boxes are only $5 a piece.

Yeah, if I buy ammo online I bite 'the bullet' and order 1000 instead of 100. Shipping won't be much different and I only cry once. OR I add a few boxes of ammo to an existing order of something else from Midway. If I'm buying gun parts, cleaner, cases/holsters, etc...shipping price will be pretty much the same with or without the ammo.
