What do you consider a "fast" movie then?

I'll see this. I like Anne Hathaway, and I know she's got a good voice, though I'm not convinced by this trailer. And while I'm not a Hugh Jackman fan, I know he's done a few stints in musicals on Broadway. But I'm nervous about Russell Crowe as Javert. I'm going to be royally pissed if he ends up speaking/burping most of his lyrics, a la Gerard Butler in Phantom.

Too soon for a Les Miserable reboot. We just had movies in 98 and 2000

Really? You liked it? I just watched it yesterday and was sorely disappointed. It seemed like a Hangover/American Pie wannabe movie that just didn't develop any kind of interesting storyline, and really lacked in character depth. Most everything that happened was really laughably stupid to the point that it was impossible to just disengage the brain and enjoy a stupid movie. Even for a silly party movie.

Big fan of both Jackman and Hathaway. But I agree completely about concerns with Russel Crowe. This trailer looks much better than I expected. |

I tend to enjoy bad acting at an hour 20, hour 30, but 2 hours pushed it for me even though I understand he was trying to emphasize the deterring situation. It was the twisted that mitigated the horrific acting and ultimately kept me watching.

I can definitely see Crowe as Javert. I think he'll be fine. My problem is Hathaway annoys me. I really don't know why, but I almost can't watch anything she does.

I was hanging out with my 5 year old niece today and she wanted to watch a movie.. I dug around my old VHS box and found this gem:
We both thoroughly enjoyed it (I hadn't watched it since I was 8). Found tons of these golden oldies in the attic.
