Right next to the play-action passes.

Practice catching the ****ing ball.
Focus on play execution on offense. Get a chip on your shoulder and get pissed off.

Andy is gonna have to coach this week and rebuild some confidence....I think we put it on the Raiders this week...and it would help if Pat would stop grabbing his helmet after a bad drop

If Toney didn't have an injury history and iffy route running, they wouldn't have gotten him for a third.

The Eagles started to commit to shutting him down in the second half. Nagy and Co should study some film of Steve DeBerg running play action.

What I would do is definitely not what Veach and Reid will do. They'll stick with this and see it through.
What I'd do is cut MVS and Moore and sign Kenny Golladay and Jarvis Landry. MVS is terrible at most everything and Moore just isn't catching on. I'd rather cut bait to win now than continue to hope he ever takes a small step forward. Golladay was twice a 1k WR with a big-armed QB throwing to him instead of a noodle dick in New York. He can win contested catches and he doesn't drop the ball much. Put him out there wide in MVS's spot. He's also a plus blocker in the screen game, generally. Landry is a veteran slot that will find the soft spots in zones and sit down in them. He doesn't have a lot of speed, but he's savvy and he catches the damned ball. He can help coach up Rice. He wouldn't need to eat up a ton of snaps. Give those to Rice and James on 1st and 2nd downs. When you need a guy on 3rd and 7 to step in and win you downs to keep the chains moving, he's the guy. My heavy snap guys would be Rice, James, and Golladay. I'd like to see more over/under double-slant concepts like the Chiefs used to run when Watkins, Pringle, and Robinson were here and I'd like to see more use of the screen game with Hardman and Toney. |
