Wall*E is fantastic. Really, really fantastic. The first half is damn near a silent movie, and that type of storytelling is an art form that is sadly lacking from much of today's cinema.
Eagle Eye and Baby Mama... haven't seen 'em, but I'm betting they're not exactly stellar. |

Baby Moma's Trailer > Baby Moma the movie. All the funny parts were in the trailer.
Its a shame too. I was really hoping for it to be good. Atleast Tina Fey makes 30 Rock good.

She reminds me of the artsy chick in high school you'd like to corrupt and bone just for shits and giggles.

I was surprised (in a good way) by Baby Mama. It's not the best comedy in the world by a long shot, but I expected something much worse. If you don't have your expectations set too high, it's decent.

I watched Righteous Kill and Eagle Eye this weekend.
Righteous Kill I was very leary of but had to get it because I love Pacino and DeNiro and although I'll probably get reamed for this I was not all that thrilled with them together in Heat.In fact after seeing both films now I'll take Righteous Kill as my favorite of the two,if nothing more because they play detectives who are partners and have alot more screen time together and it's good stuff. Eagle Eye-meh,way way way over the top,a good amount of action but still didn't hold my undivided attention for the duration of the film.

I watched My Best Friend's Girl and Pineapple Express.
I know alot of you would not enjoy MBFG because Dane Cook was in it. I actually like his "schtick" as an actor and entertainer (I'm not convinced he's a comedian). The movie was alright. It kind of dragged. Pineapple Express was hilarious. Rogen is becoming one of my favorite actors. |
