This will be the first Star Wars movie I don't give a shit about seeing.
Rogue One was a prequel plot that was interesting because we didn't know the characters or their eventual fate. Sure, we knew the outcome but finding out how it unfolded was a mystery.
This movie will be the first to sink the Star Wars franchise. The Obi Wan prequel will finish the job. In the SOLO preview Han is facing a menacing group and starts into unbutton his holster, in another scene Chewie is headed straight for a rock. Golly gee, I wonder if they'll survive?
Prequels and Star Wars don't mix. I'm surprised the people that green lit this bullshit can't see how far below the standards of pre-prequel Star Wars this approach is. Making further prequels based on beloved characters is so obviously dumb and lazy, I'm afraid it will destroy the franchise or at least demote it to the level of Marvel.
