I think I'm going to put a bit less thought into it this year and take my kneejerk reaction picks, because had I done that last year I'd be better for it... So here we go...

2(43) Jessie Bates, FS, Wake Forest
Selected at 2(52) by Cincinnati
The Chiefs have obvious needs in the secondary and my opinion defers from Veach's greatly with regard to how early I think the Chiefs should have addressed it. I'm going with a playmaking free safety here to boost the secondary and fill the void left by Ron Parker's cut.

3(86) Tarvarius Moore, CB/FS, Southern Mississippi
Selected at 3(95) by San Francisco
Moore was a playmaker for Southern Miss and has all-over-the-field athleticism to make plays in the NFL and keep pace with anyone. This kid could push Jimmie Ward to slot only duties very early and be the starter. I love his range and it look like SF does too given they want to move him to CB.

3(95) Harrison Phillips, DT, Stanford
Selected at 3(96) by Buffalo
My team is a bit weak in the trenches, only adding Carlos Watkins in the 4th last season. I'm going to go after a Kyle Williams clone in Phillips and solidify the position for years as Buffalo will do with him replacing Williams in their lineup.

4(122) Cole Madison, OT/G, Washington State
Selected at 5(138) by Green Bay
I've been really high on Cole Madison throughout this entire process and I'm sticking to my guns with him. I really need to work on upgrading my offensive line after more than a couple misses in recent drafts. Green Bay has a long-time habit of selecting college tackles and converting them to top-shelf guards and they'll do the same with Madison.

5(159) Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, EDGE, Oklahoma
Selected at 5(160) by Los Angeles
My team is definitely lacking depth at OLB and I see Okoronkwo as a guy that could develop there. He's got more than a passing shot to make the Rams roster and fight for playing time given the makeup of their linebacking corps.

6(196) Tremon Smith, CB, Central Arkansas
Selected at 6(198) by Kansas City
Because of the lack of depth at CB on my roster that compares with the actual Chiefs roster, I'm going to actually take one of their picks in Smith. He looks like a good slot corner type and could be the eventual replacement to Nelson there.

6(198) Bradley Bozeman, OC, Alabama
Selected at 6(215) by Baltimore
My team lacks depth on the offensive line and that's what Bozeman will likely be early on in Baltimore, but he has a legitmate chance to earn a starting gig there very early. Morse is injured alot so I need to at least take a chance at the position.

7(219) Zach Sieler, DE, Ferris State
Selected at 7(238) by Baltimore
I've been on Seiler for a while and love this kid's potential. He went to a team that has no issue taking Division II GLIAC players and I already have one of them on my roster. Let's hope they turn this physical freak into a freak on the field and give my defensive line a huge boost for cheap.

7(243) Holton Hill, CB, Texas
UDFA by Minnesota
Not much left in terms of value here so I'm going to take a shot on a backup QB that I know will be nothing but a backup in Cincinnati.

I'll put my preliminary roster together shortly...
