Dude has the same level QB skills as Tyler Thigpen, but is a much better athlete. The gimmick was cool until opposing D's figured it out, now he has to rely upon the QB skills that he simply doesn't have in comparison to the rest of the league.
Why would any team sign him? Does anyone believe he'd actually be a team player and sit the bench as a backup QB? Or is it more likely that he'd bitch to high hell about how the league is against him if he's not allowed to start?
At a $20million per year he's never going to accept a backup role, and he never had the skills to be anything other than a stopgap starter if your main QB goes down.
Thigpen and the pistol were fun to watch when it worked, but no one here really thought we were going to win a SB with it.

Yeah, the main question is if he'd be cool with being a backup and getting paid like one. Id bet he'd do both in Carolina. It's actually a perfect place for him. Politics aside, I think he's a high end backup. Needs to play somewhere at least a little warm. But as a backup he's a guy who doesn't need to run an offense because he'll improvise the whole time. That's not a bad quality for a backup. In warm weather he's still an effective qb. Much better than RGIII.
